Summary: The rooms at Jefferson Inn are definitely outdoorsy, with what are probably scenes of the surrounding areas wallpapered on entire walls. Very convenient being able to park right outside our room and unload directly without luggage cart or elevator/hallways. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.

Summary: When I saw it was rated a 9 out of ten and the looking at the picture of the building I went ahead and booked it. If rated a 9 I thought it would be up to par with what I expected. Not so much. The building and rooms are dated. We always check the bed for bed bugs. There were no bed bugs however the mattresses were stained and very thin. The road noise due to the location of the hotel made it hard to get a good nights rest. Outside the door and on the door apron was a lot of sand. Not sure why as it is now summer. I can’t imagine how they can keep the thin rug clean with all the sand on the sidewalk and door apron. The photo on the site for booking is deceiving. We would not stay here again. There is not much else in the area so we had to chose it due to the location. Definitely not a 9 rating more like a 5. We chose not to eat the breakfast after reading some more in depth reviews. They were mixed reviews.

Summary: Our room was spacious and quaint, clean, and quiet. The bathroom, though, was cramped and laid out oddly—couldn’t sit facing forward on the toilet, for example, and had to squat sideways due to the configuration. The bathroom contained no soap at all, just shampoo and conditioner. For the nearly $200 that we paid to stay here, I expect to be given soap to wash myself with. How friggin’ cheap does a place have to be?!?! Of greater concern to future travelers: The room that we were given was NOT the one that we booked online. We booked a room with a king-sized bef but were given one with two queen-sized beds instead. Although this worked out well enough for us, a property that operates with this type of “bait and switch” approach should make others question just what they will be getting if they elect to stay here.
