Positive: Such a wonderful first local stay in Samoa. The family that run the beach fales were so welcoming, friendly & hospitable. It poured with rain from our arrival at 2:30pm until the next morning, so we were offered the local cocoa tea, and a delicious cooked dinner to try some local foods (for $20 Tala pp). We were told stories about the villages and local traditions. The fales are right next to the beach and you wake to the sound of the waves. They were dry and spacious with their own mosquito nets over each bed, and have a light switch and 2 power points, plus room to hang your towel. There is a small store a short walk down the road for snacks & drinks and random purchases! In the morning the daughter made us a yummy breakfast - the coconut pancakes were soo good! Lovely first experience.

Negative: The bathrooms are across the main road, and very basic (imagine school camp). The toilets flushed, there was hand wash, and a mirror. The shower water worked fine, with a basic shower curtain and a few spiders/insects might share it with you. Nowhere to hang your dry clothes, and BYO towel. We didn't mind for 1 night, but some might.

Positive: The hosts of Jaymys were lovely and friendly and knowledgeable. The best part is the food, breakfasts are full of surprises of delicious local foods, new every day, and options for allergies and picky eaters. They also do dinner if you book in advance which is well known as the best on the island and the most traditional, fresh you will find.

Positive: We loved everything about our stay at Jaymys. Everything was spotless and clean, Lasi and her family were so warm and welcoming when we arrived, making us feel so at home. The fale was so cute, despite the rain everything stayed dry. There’s a plug in the room for Charging your phone. Falling asleep to the ocean is just so relaxing! The food for both breakfast and dinner is amazing!!! The fish cooked in coconut and the breakfast pancakes were our favourites! Along with the yummy cocoa Samoa Lasi kindly made for us! We will definitely be back!

Positive: Everything was fantastic! Food was more than enough and delicious. The family was super friendly. I stayed 2 nights, and I really wanted to stay more, but I had to move on other countries. I hope I can come back in the future
