Positive: An authentic place, always clean with all possible accommodations. The hotel has a rooftop to enjoy the exceptional views of the rice fields. Jacky knows the region very well and will not hesitate to guide you on any type of adventure! There is the possibility of eating on site whether it is breakfast, dinner or supper.

Positive: - Jacky and his team were great. He recommended great hikes across the race fields, was always able to help with any of my questions and I even had a room upgrade. - Food at his place was fresh and good. - Location. Pugao is a great place to explore and see the fields.

Negative: - Maybe a water dispenser would be helpful to avoid buying so many plastic bottles

Positive: Jacky was an amazing host! He is very fluent in English and is friendly, helpful and will recommend things to do. Place is beautifully decorated and great views. The cute cat and dog are also a bonus. Definitely recommend staying here!

Positive: Jacky is a fantastic and helpful host. The rooms have amazing views, the communal area is great, food is delicious and he was so helpful organising transport and pick ups. The rice terraces are beautiful and it’s a lovely peaceful place. (With a gorgeous dog who will take you on a walk).

Summary: Highly recommended - worth the travelling to get there.

Positive: Jacky’s place was awesome and Jacky himself went above and beyond. He speaks English which is so helpful. He picked us up at the train station in Jianshui. His place was very nice and our room had a view of the terraces. He is also an excellent cook - we ate all but one meal there for the 2 days we stayed and each meal was exceptional. He gave us an itinerary for our half day in his village and we went in the rice terraces it was awesome. On our way out we were going to train to Xuishuangbanna but he said a bus would be way faster and dropped us at the bottom of the mountain to catch the bus. Would recommend to anyone.

Positive: Guesthouse is more like a boutique hotel. Exterior was like other old-style buildings in Duoyishu but inside was relatively new/modern. The location is fantastic and the view from the rooftop including during sunrise was superb. Jacky, the owner, can speak English which is a huge plus in China especially if you cannot speak Chinese. He told me, over WeChat, the options to get to his guesthouse and I chose the ëasy"option ie train to Honghe and he arranged a car to pick me up to Duoyishu. Nice of him to upgrade my room to one with a fantastic view of the rice terraces and the mountain/valley. He also arranged a driver to bring us to a multi-coloured rice terraces and another place for the sunset, and found 2 other guest for us to carpool so the cost was split 3 which was great savings! Would stay here again if I visit Honghe Duoyishu again

Positive: Jacky does his best to help everyone and make your stay pleasant. He and his family are kind and welcoming. His village, Duoyishu, is the best place to see the sunrise over the rice terraces. The rooftop of the guesthouse is a great spot to photograph the sunrise peacefully away from from the crowds. He gives useful tips for visiting local markets et independent treks in the heart of rice paddies thanks to his knowledge of the area. The beautiful and cozy restaurant/cafe proposes delicious dishes, adapted to your taste. I enjoyed my 5-day stay in good company. Big hugs to Toto, his sweet dog, and to his loving Mum! Highly recommend this place!

Positive: The best thing about Jacky's is...Jacky. He is a great host, helpful and knowledgeable and kind and funny. We stayed in a big room with a balcony at the back of the property but the front building had much more beautiful rooms (at a higher price but still reasonable).

Negative: It was quite a hike up and down to get to the room because we were in the rear building so if you have issues with walking up and downhill make sure you choose a room in the front building.

Positive: Jacky is a very present and thoughtful host. He really helps us with any tasks or questions and gives many indications for nice hikes or market trips. The room was also very nice, with view on the rice fields and a terrace on top to see the sunset.
