Positive: The classic nature of the building is a huge draw. The new upgrades and decor are gorgeous and modern. The interior design and layout is fab and the views are spectacular.

Positive: My new wife and I booked a deluxe suite for our 'mini-moon' at the end of August. We were blown away with Mar Hall. The staff we encountered were all very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The facilities are amazing. We spent the afternoon of our arrival on the couches in the garden that were very comfortable and relacing. The dinner was first class, we had steaks and loved moving onto the bars for a few after dinner cocktails, the bar staff were very knowledgeable. The room was great with nice views of the Clyde and the hills beyond and we had a great sleep. Next morning after breakfast in bed we went to the spa, the pool was nice and warm and yet again the staff were so attentive.

Negative: Nothing we loved it!

Positive: This is a brilliant hotel! The rooms were lovely, the facilities were terrific, the food was great, the hotel looks stunning inside and out, and the staff were all wonderful (really friendly and helpful). You couldn't get any better!

Negative: Nothing to dislike! Everything was first class

Positive: Great welcome from front house especially Mick (Mike?). All staff we interacted with restaurant/bar/cleaning staff were happy and engaging and helpful. Lovely evening meal in The Dining Room and great breakfast.

Negative: Only 2 minor things - It was a little unfortunate that they were putting board flooring into the hotel area for some sort of even which meant we had to navigate across. Also on arrival very difficult to find parking due to large wedding taking place. Maybe spaces could be reserved for guests staying overnight.

Summary: Lovely short stay. Would recommend and return
