Positive: It was just such a lovely oasis in the middle of quite a hectic touristy Miyajima. The hotel is beautiful and the staff were so friendly. The onsens are so relaxing and set in beautiful surroundings. So easy to walk up the mountain and get to the ropeway early before the crowds. Miyajima after dark is a totally different place without the tourists and very peaceful, just the deer for company. The food was amazing and the staff were so welcoming.
Summary: Beautiful and restful Japanese experience

Positive: Overall, a fantastic experience! Very traditional Japanese setting, and super welcoming staff. The meals were delicious, and the staff were wonderfully accommodating of our dietary restrictions (I'm a vegetarian). The onsen was absolutely outstanding.
Negative: The Wi-Fi was extremely poor, everywhere in the hotel! And overall the price is on the higher end, so although the experience was fantastic, I'm not sure I would pay that much again.
Summary: Expensive, but fantastic experience! Bad Wi-Fi though.

Positive: It was characterful and service was exceptional. Food was superbly presented and varied. We liked the onsen.
Negative: Not a problem for me, but if onsens aren’t your thing, then there are no other washing facilities.
Summary: Classy in every way
