Positive: Lovely little cottage brilliant location for Barnard Castle surrounding areas. Cottage had everything you need.

Negative: Cottage had been surface clean only cobwebs everywhere. Could do with a freshen up.

Positive: Lovely comfy beds Cosy duvets Lovely peaceful location....not too far from Barnard Castle or Richmond Brilliant "farm shop" n cafe at Mainsgill on A66 Murder to get out of onto A66 tho'!! Great food and staff in the Brownlow arms in Caldwell Excellent shower, piping hot water Nice towels Lovely clean site

Negative: No liquid soap in the soap container in the kitchen Had there been 4 people there wasn't much crockery or glasses....some of the tumblers were "dirty" The cork dinner mats were old and broken......2 coasters?for 4 people if we had been 4... Cutlery drawer needed a clean Also no oven gloves? And no local walking from site sadly

Positive: Single storey cottage nicely laid out, suitable for 3 people. Space to park outside. Has good potential if some of the points below addressed.

Negative: Not suitable for 4 people second bedroom only 3/4 bed, no drawers for clothing Although clean to appearance, cobwebs everywhere needed a good dusting down. Both beds uncomfortable. No vacuum cleaner in properly. No complementary starter pack ie dishwasher tablets, dish cloth, towel etc.

Summary: Nice area, plenty places to visit, enjoyed stay overhaul.

Positive: The size and location of the cottage was great. Rural location, good for walks, peace and quiet. It was very clean and comfortable.

Negative: Let down by a few things - The WiFi signal was out of range, so we couldn’t connect to it, we messaged James (name and number of who to contact if we had any issues) he still hasn’t replied and we’ve been home for a few days! In such a rural area with poor phone signal, wifi is a must and really disappointed my wife who was wanting to catch up on a bit of online work one morning. There was shower gel sachets, but no hand soap. This should really be supplied for the price we paid. There was a nice wooden 2 seater bench outside, but one of the chairs was snapped and unusable. If it’s broken, just remove it. A box of tea coffee sugar was nice, but only enough for one nights stay. Maybe this should suit the length of the stay in future. Overall, it feels like the cottage is cleaned but the owners don’t keep on top of anything else. I’d return if these issues were resolved.

Summary: Good, but could have been better if a few things were sorted out.

Negative: Wi-Fi was not working and tv remote faulty. Contacted the owner who resolved in quickly. But never able to use Netflix or Amazon Prime.
