Positive: The staff were helpful and friendly.

Negative: The pool was closed as we travelled out of season. However the restaurant and bar were also closed, which was unexpected. So, had to walk 15/20 minutes into town to eat of an evening. Breakfast was provided, but was limited. There was little knowledge of the surrounding bodegas, and unable to book any trips through the hotel.

Positive: Room was ok

Negative: I asked receptionist for a glass for water. A young boy before me asked and got 2 glass glasses l recieved 2 small paper ones. I was not happy about that. For 2 elderly people , only l spare blanket and 1 spare pillow. And the room was cold. Plus the both windows were frosted. So no view. Was a little disappointed. But it served its purpose.

Negative: why do you emply 'dragon ladies'? Lady at the bar not very helpful - needs to understand 'good customer service'. Similar problem last time we stayed with a grumpy lady at breakfast, about whom I complained then. You need to up your game if you want repeat customers

Positive: We enjoyed our one night stay in Haro and we were made very welcome by the hotel staff. The pool was excellent and very welcomed on such a hot day. We ate our evening meal in the hotel and we found it both excellent value for money and the food was lovely. We were made a lovely coffee and food to take with us when we left and again we enjoyed our stay here and the town of Haro and the Wineries were also very good.

Negative: There was nothing in particular we did not like.

Summary: Lovely stay in Haro in the Rioja Valley.
