Positive: Very well located, everything was new and extremely clean. Good size for single traveller or couples!

Negative: The mattress was extremely hard, I didn’t sleep well on it (despite liking hard beds).

Positive: The apartment is nice, recently renovated, well-equipped and very conveniently located (close to a park, public transport, in a nice and clean area, with plenty of cafés/restaurants around, also within walking distance from the center).

Negative: First, the price was not properly and transparently set by the manager (a company working in rental business, not an individual). While booking, the price was displayed as "including taxes", however, when we booked, we received several long messages from the manager, informing us that, on top of that price, we need to pay cca. 50€ of city tax - information that was not mentioned anywhere prior to booking and an amount that was about 12% of the price we paid for the stay. Other properties either already include this amount in the price or mention that X euros per person and per night would need to be paid in addition - but not this one. So, when we booked, they competed with others unfairly, and also wanted us to pay more without having been informed in advance of the need to pay any tax separately and especially without having been told the (non-negligible) amount in advance (we travel a lot and know how this works). Our booking was non-cancellable, so we could not just cancel and book another place. When we told them this in writing, they refused to admit they the mistake is theirs and kept insisting that we will not be able to check in if we do not pay. We called Booking.com and, naturally, they agreed with us and told us to contact them during check-in, if the issue is not resolved - and it was not. Finally, Booking.com customer service resolved it with the manager, who then also claimed that they have decided to give this as a "present" and a favour to us. We did not at all appreciate having to discuss this in writing, being forced to call Booking.com, having to waste time on the day of the check-in, etc. Mistakes happen (this was a new listing and the ommission of the mention of city tax was probably a mistake), but it is not acceptable that a professional rental company does not know basics of consumer and contract law. This gave a bitter taste to the beginning of our stay.
