Casa Mimosa is one of the largest villas on the island, situated on its own white sandy beach, overlooking the crystal clear water of the Caribbean and Mujeres Bay, with a spectacular view of Cancun in the distance. This villa is completely turn-key and is loaded with all the amenities you need. It is visited frequently by its owners, so you get a comfortable, much lived in feeling. This 6,000 square foot villa consists of 4 floors with 5 bedrooms, each with its own beautifully tiled bathroom.
There are 2 living rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, full laundry, 3 wet bars, dining room, and a roof top palapa. All bedrooms have a terrace overlooking the pool and ocean, air conditioning, ceiling fans, a safe for your personal belongings, and a hammock for your afternoon siesta.

Summary: Our family and friends including nine 18-58 year olds really wanted to get away for a safe vacation amidst the COVID pandemic. Having all tested negative before departure, we knew we were making the right decision to rent a house with private pool and beach for our stay on Isla Mujeres August 10-17, 2002. Not all hotels are open right now and most are at much lower capacity. A lot of the beaches are closed.... but not ours! The house is even more breathtaking than the photos. We had every amenity we could think of, the best of which was Gaspar. He is the caretaker there and was the best thing about Casa Mimosa. ANYTHING we wished for was magically delivered to us. The first night he cooked, delivered, set up and cleaned a fantastic fajita dinner for us weary travelers. He set up a private Whale Shark tour on our first full day which was something we will never forget. Fishing trip to catch a wonderful tuna dinner on next day. Scuba trip for a few one day. Even took the “kids” out to get tattoos and shop for special items. He came on these excursions and made sure we were spoiled!! Halfway through the trip Gaspar said they would clean the house, but we did not feel it was needed since we spent every day outside at palapa, pool, beach or excursion. Instead he had his “cleaner” teach us how to make empanadas!! We cooked them the rest of the vacation, breakfast, lunch and dinner empanadas lol! We will enjoy making them back home and remember Casa Mimosa! Isla Mujeres was a much safer bet in terms of COVID-19 than our home town of Baltimore. They had very few cases and I see why. EVERYONE there wears masks, even on golf carts. Temperatures checked and sanitizer as you entered restaurants. The house itself is on a quieter road in Sac Bajo and felt very safe. Never saw anyone on our beach and never felt afraid. Gaspar and his family live right out front by the road and we interacted with him daily. His grandson, Nicholas, was a favorite of my boys and they played together often in the pool and on land. We took 500+ photos and will always cherish this time at Casa Mimosa. We are currently trying to book our next time there! I recommend this place to anyone! I’d be happy to answer other questions if you ask Mim, the owner, to contact me. She was also very wonderful when answering all questions when I was booking!

Summary: We had a group of 14 stay for a week in July '20. The house and the customer service were absolutely perfect. The layout with five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms was very nice so each family unit in the group had their own private retreat. The pool and outdoor kitchen area were fabulous. We spent so many hours hanging at the pool and utilizing the outdoor kitchen / bar for making all our drinks and snacks. Everything about the property was just as advertised and the customer service was impeccable.

Summary: This was our third stay at Casa Mimosa and it never disappoints! Isla Mujeres is easily accessible by boat or ferry from Cancun and once on island there are plenty of things to do as well as amazing restaurants. Staying at Casa Mimosa is such a dream - you don't need to even leave the property. For our first night we had a private chef cook for us and then hit the well appointed grocery story for meals for the duration of our stay. From the private infinity pool with the tiki bar to the beachfront location with plenty of amenities to the roof top palapa where we enjoyed nightly sunsets. We love this place and can't wait to go back again. Mim (the owner) is wonderful and extremely helpful during the planning process as well.

Summary: We LOVE this house !! This house is perfect for so many reason, reason number 1, Gasbar- he lives on site in his own home and is the care taker for the home, but he is so much more than that! Gasbar is able to help with so many things on the island for you, I.e golfcarts, dinner reservations, excursions etc. He is so knowledgeable and helpful. The house is always spotless. The home sleeps many and is perfect for large groups. There are many different places for people to hang out and have privacy . There is a beautiful palapa where you can hang out and have some drinks. The pool is refreshing and perfect place to lay out. They have an awesome SONUS sound system at the house where you feel as if you are at your own personal resort (oh wait, you are)! The home is perfect location on Sac Bajo, not too far from the main land but far enough where you have quietness and privacy. The house is next to Zama beach club where you can go get some good drinks and snacks. I highly recommend this home for large groups looking for a relaxing, luxurious vacation. You feel totally safe here with Gasbar on site and also gate at the home. We have been traveling to isla for 10 years and have stayed here serval times. I cannot emphasize enough how great Gasbar is! Anyone who stays here will fall in love !!!

Summary: WOW From the time our crew arrived at this island paradise until 7 days later Caspar made our vacation flawless. Our group was treated like family, Caspar arranged our fishing trip, cabs into town, massage's at the villa, he is like a ghost. Pool would be cleaned every morning, grounds were impeccable, beds were all comfortable. Mim the owner answered all our questions and was great to work with, golf carts were gassed up waiting at the villa for our group. We have stayed on the island before and will defiantly be back again to casa mimosa. The island is a great place to relax and explore at your own pace with friends and family. 10 out of 10 from our Canadian crew Nov 2018

Summary: Casa Mimosa and Gaspar made our trip amazing! This was our 2nd visit to Mimosa with friends and family. The casa is always in good shape and the pool/palapa are the best. Gaspar and his family cooked two amazing meals. Be sure to have the authentic Mexican Feast! The island experience is always great. Only downside was a very rare long power outage, about 18 hours.

Summary: OMG how beautiful! We had a group of four couples that went together. We were all celebrating our 50th birthdays and thought it would be a great idea to celebrate in Mexico. We could not believe how beautiful the house was when we pulled up, but what was even more beautiful was the outdoor space with the amazing pool, jacuzzi, volleyball and outdoor bar area. We got some amazing pictures of the sun setting while sitting by the pool. I'm certain Gaspar was probably kept up late at night from our music but we had too much fun enjoying the outdoor space. The inside of the house had more than enough bedrooms/bathrooms and the great thing was that everyone had a king size bed! Most days were spent outside at the pool and the bar followed by a couple hours at Oscar's Bar. The guys wanted to snorkel so Gaspar made a call and had a private boat take them out the next day. We even had Gaspar take the ladies into town to buy jewelry. Just as fun was treating Gaspar to lunch at Bobo's afterwards. We felt so well taken care of and Gaspar was always available to answer any questions or to arrange any services we needed. It was so hard when it came time to leave. We all immediately said we definitely will be back to Casa Mimosa without a doubt! Thank you Mim for the beautiful accommodations and thank you Gaspar for putting up with Us! #besttripever

Summary: Casa Mimosa was the perfect place for our group of 8 (4 couples) to recently spend a week enjoying all that Isla Mujeres has to offer. The island has plenty of options for travelers looking to just relax and for those who are looking to stay busy. We had both in our group. The homeowner, Mim, was great to work with when we were arranging our trip. The pool and outdoor areas at Casa Mimosa are amazing. Being right on the beach provided a great view and atmosphere. The pictures really do not do it justice. We cooked several meals in the poolside palapa. A large grocery store is not far via golf cart and the house has plenty of supplies and equipment to cook anything you want in the kitchen and outside. Having beach access, a large, beautiful pool, and an onsite caretaker, Gaspar, are really what sets this house apart from others on the island. Gaspar was a big help, from having golf carts at the house upon our arrival to giving nightly restaurant recommendations. We really enjoyed eating and hanging out at Oscar’s, the Joint, and Soggy Peso. It sounds crazy, but the Italian food and pizza at Oscar’s ranks right up there with the best of Italian restaurants. Don’t miss the Enchiladas Verde at the Joint and remember no more than 2 margaritas at Soggy Peso. They are delicious, but strong. We had a more upscale meal at Sunset Grill that was fantastic. We ate at Marbella Fish Market & Grill per Gaspar’s recommendation, but it was not a favorite for the group. Gaspar also arranged for a private snorkeling trip and a trip a to local jewelry store. Everyone on the island seems to know Gaspar. Our group would highly recommend Casa Mimosa. For a large group, the house really cannot be beat. We hope to return again sometime soon!

Summary: We spent 2 weeks at Casa Mimosa and it was absolutely amazing. The first week was with couples and the second week our adult children joined us. Everyone was blown away. The location is private and perfect, our own beach with incredible sunsets and just a short golf cart ride to town, grocery store or restaurants. With 5 bedrooms, all with large ensuites and their own balcony, lots of living space, fully equipped kitchen and beautiful rooftop deck with a 360 view, the house is designed to handle large groups with style. And of course the outdoor living space right beside the pool is a favorite. We spent a lot of time out there day and night. Gaspar, who looks after the property is very helpful and a fantastic resource. The island is quaint and a lot of fun. Lots to do and we had an excellent meal in every restaurant we tried. Overall Casa Mimosa exceeded our expectations and we hope to be back someday soon.

Summary: We just returned from the island and it was truly a week in paradise!! The house and the grounds were absolutely gorgeous! We had 8 couples in the house and had plenty of room for another couple. Gaspar, who lives onsite, was so helpful with everything and anything we needed! Mim, the owner was great to work with in booking and any questions we had before we arrived! The island is very safe but having him there checking in us made us feel even safer. The house is not very close to the town but it was a non issue since we had golf carts for the week, which we had a ton of fun in. Food on the island was great! A few places you must try are Soggy Pesos, The Joint, Oscars and Mango's! We will definitely be returning! Hopefully sooner than later!
