Summary: Disappointed when a pool cocktail server followed one of us in a golf cart asking for a tip. Very unprofessional. The resort room cleanup was very spotty. Noel behind the bar is excellent. One of the best we’ve seen anywhere The other servers were just fair. The property itself is very nice and well maintained

Summary: First impressions are HUGE and Isla Bella had us hooked from the moment we reached the front gate. Even the lobby had immaculate views of the ocean. Anh checked us in and was so friendly and helpful. We were given glasses of champagne while she assisted us. Parking was convenient. We always found a spot near the building we were staying. In addition to stairs, there are elevators which were great for getting luggage to and from the room. We stayed on the 3rd floor which had stunning views and more privacy than the first floor walk-out rooms. Bathroom was CLEAN and nicely appointed. The furniture and decor gave beachy without being tacky. Beach Bar cocktails were delicious. We checked out 3 of the pools which were all well maintained and beautifully done. The Marketplace was convenient for quick bites and souvenirs. Prices there were much better than we anticipated. All in all, Marathon was the perfect home base for us during our road trip from Miami and week long exploration of the Keys. We would definitely stay at Isla Bella again!

Summary: The property was beautiful. We didn’t take advantage of many of the amenities but they all looked fabulous. We did have a drink at the outdoor bar one day. The room was very clean and well maintained. We spent time on the balcony in the evenings.

Summary: First time staying at a resort in the Florida Keys. The whole experience was excellent giving May end sees less tourists and resort feels “private” to some extent. It’s definitely expensive given the resort fees and parking fees per night you pay for what you get. The restaurants/bars are Miami pricing and great food/drinks. Like there’s an adult only pool along with other pools. The rooms are very spacious (ours was on 3rd floor diagonal from the beach bar). We spent a whole day sitting on the beach chairs and relaxing by the bar watching the iguanas and dolphins. Would have appreciated if they provided water bottles in the room rather than us going to the water filling stations downstairs everytime to refill our bottles. There’s option to jet ski, take boat rides, etc but was too expensive for us. If you just want to enjoy some downtime away from Miami hustle/bustle sipping tropical drinks and relaxing in the pool, this resort is ideal. Just be ready to pay for the “views” and “vibes” at the resort, don’t expect getting extreme hospitality for the price though.
