Positive: The owners stay on the property and proved to be attentive hosts making you feel at home If you expect a 5 star beach resort then pay up and rather go to Mauritius This is rustic Moz style laid back island living and Kanimambo is your best base. It has comfortable fully equipped wooden cabins with air con and shower and fridge The hosts will arrange to take you to fantastic swimming and snorkeling beaches at reasonable cost Overall good value for money

Negative: Nothing really I got what I expected at the price

Summary: Probably the best value for money lodge on the island I will return

Positive: Pierre and his staff were very welcoming and helped us arrange transport to the island and back when the ferry wasn't running. They also went out of their way to assist us with outings and planning activities while on the island. It was a very pleasant surprise to find dinner and cooked breakfast included. We were served calamari the one night and fresh fish the other night with sides and salads. We loved the rustic style of the lodge. Cabins were clean with aircon and hot showers. Inhaca island itself was a wonderful, non touristy, beautiful place where you just slot in with the local people. There is none of the hassling you might find in Maputo. We really enjoyed exploring the lighthouse, biological museum (a bit dated) , wondering around the village and walking through the fields, mangroves and along the beach. The snorkeling at Santa Maria was excellent.

Summary: We loved our stay on Kanimambo and found it a great base to explore the island.

Positive: We felt very welcome and taken care of. The hosts really helped us having a great time on Inhaca. I liked that soap was available in the showers, this helps reduce the amount of plastic packaging on this planet. Definitely recommend the place.

Positive: The lodge is in a great location, Pierre and his staff are very nice and welcoming. The included food is good and they are also flexible to serve some vegetarian meals for example. I did two little tours on the island which were very nice and well organised. And best of all, when a storm came in and I couldn't leave on the day I planned to, Pierre was really understanding and invited me to stay in the camp free of charge until I was able to take a ferry back to the mainland!

Summary: Wonderful stay in a wonderful lodge with wonderful host and staff!
