Positive: A really cozy house in a quiet yet practical location. With the interior decor every detail has been thought of, both in and out of the house. Nirei is a wonderful host, she really respects your space and privacy so that we felt completely at ease during our stay. At the same time she is helpful and available whenever needed. She also prepared us probably the best breakfast we had during our trip. We would love to return some day.

Positive: Amazing, beautiful, and clean house. Love how eveything in the house is designed very cute and homy. Nirei-san is very accomodating and always make sure that i stay warm during my stay. The room is very spacious and comfortable. Sabao-kun the cat is very cute. The other cat, Inari-chan is so pretty even tho she’s very shy. Breakfast is amazing. Love the onsen in the house, it’s a very relaxing stay will definitely comeback next time.

Positive: This guest house is very special! We had a fantastic stay, due to the kind, well-travelled host (who made absolutely beautiful breakfasts btw), the beautiful home, and the location. We like off the beaten track places, and this was more like a homestay. The house is behind a small temple and is about a 10 minute to most places in town, but a 3 minute walk to a Lawson. We were in Yufuin during a surprise snowstorm, and the house was perfect --warm and cozy due to the space, super comfy beds, cat, and private onsen (which we took advantage of daily!) It truly was one of our most memorable and relaxing stays in Japan.

Positive: Beautiful home nearby to Yufuin main street. House was super comfortable and clean. Host Nirei-san was super friendly and made effort to ensure we had a great stay. Breakfast was delicious and well prepared! It is just a short walk to a Lawson nearby and the main tourist street. It is very convenient. The house is designed beautifully in true Japanese fashion, with lovely trinkets and items collected from Nirei-san's travels around the world. There is an Onsen inside the house with actual natural hot spring water - an amazing experience to have in the cold winter/spring weather. Thank you Nirei-san!

Negative: Nothing - it was an amazing experience and I highly recommend anyone staying in Yufuin to experience a night here.

Our stay exeeded our expectatios - so cozy, comfortable, and perfect for creating beautiful memories. We are deeply grateful to you, Nirei, for your exceptional kindness and thoughtfulness. And we cannot forget Sabao-Kun, the a chic and adorable cat who brought an extra layer of joy to our stay. Though our time together was short, it was truly special and left us with such warm and happy memories. Positive: This place looks like you’re in a fairy tale!! I love everything about this place! It look exactly how it looked like in the photo, but even better when you see it with your eyes! We booked a night here during our visit to Kyushu, my only regret was not staying longer!! This place is so relaxing and peaceful. I highly recommend to everyone who is considering, trust me, you will not regret! Location: no issues for us since we drive. Plus point, there is parking space. I had to admit that the place was a little hard to locate, since goggle map doesn’t show the private housing estate I do recommend using google maps beforehand so you recognise the surrounding before driving over. For those who are using trains, it’s walkable from the station, even though it may not be exactly convenient with suitcase but it’s doable! Privacy: 10/10! The host did not interrupt or disturb during our stay except the time where she came out to speak to us. You pretty much paying for the entire space to yourself! Amenities: private onsen! It was such a great experience using a housing private onsen and the bathroom was really big & spacious. I do recommend bringing your own toothbrush & toothpaste! Breakfast: this was included and I was lucky to had a chance to try Nirei-san’s cooking. The Japanese breakfast was really delicious and the plating was on point!! Gochisosama! Room: you’ll get a full Japanese experience by sleeping on tatami beds! Really comfortable spacious as well. Cleanliness is 10/10! Host: she’s a gem! She’s so accommodating and friendly as well! I feel very comfortable speaking with her. There’s also a resident cat who was friendly and curious during our visit. What I love about this place is that the serenity of the place, very peaceful and you’ll hear the sound of the nature. So peaceful that I took a nap during the day! I did took a short walk at 7am and I love the surrounding of the place. I’m glad I chose this beautiful place to stay!

Positive: Loved our stay, everything about it was wonderful. Our host, who is the proud owner, is so charming, friendly and conversational - her English is perfect and her taste is impeccable. She truly makes you feel like a guest in her home, rather than you're crashing in somebody's house. Aesthetically, there are so many artful touches in the house, tiny details that make all the difference; a cool piece of art, or a curious painting that she's collected on travels of her own. The house is just beautifully designed (have I mentioned that already?) - modern with clean lines, but also eclectic and traditional in the same breath. Breakfast was a traditional Japanese breakfast, which was fantastic and fun. There's nothing not to like about this place - truly a highlight of our trip to Kyushu!

Negative: Absolutely nothing. We were only there for one night and i wish we stayed a little longer.

Summary: If you're anywhere near here in Kyushu, definitely stay here!
