Positive: We loved the Shimokitazawa location and the trendy vibe of this property. It comfortably slept our family of 5. Someone also came to let us store our luggages while the apartment was being cleaned.

Negative: There was a lot of dust in the apartment after one day staying there… it either came from us leaving the sliding door open for a while or from the ceiling when air flow came through. The washing machine was hard to use at first as all the buttons were in Japanese.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at illi Amu and would recommend it to family and friends visiting Tokyo.

Positive: The location was perfect, the design, large space, and decor of the room were fantastic, the A/C worked great, the beds were comfortable, the cleanliness was exceptional, and the appliances worked great. The converter power strip was very helpful between the beds.

Negative: The record player speaker did not work, the washer/dryer did not sufficiently dry the clothes, and it was not clear how to simply dry the clothes more in English (perhaps I missed this detail in the Notion notes). These are both minor considerations.

Summary: It was the perfect place for the 3 of us to stay, we will definately stay there again in the future.

Positive: Detailed instructions, easy to find, cool view, and very walkable to the entire Shimokitazawa neighborhood. The apartment was beautiful and we wished we had a longer stay!

Negative: No coffee or tea provided. Otherwise zero complaints!
