Positive: Simone, the hostess was amazing! Booked for us restaurant reservations and helped us have the greatest time in Lago di Como and the area. The house was very nice and clean and very quiet and cozy. Our time in this B&B was really a treat for our trip! All the four of us expect to come back soon Simone, thank you so very much Every single person that will come to this B&B will absolutely love it!!!
Negative: Nothing at all.
Summary: Amazing place and amazing hostess

Positive: Where shall I start.... Even before arrival there was good contact about the arrival time. Simona, the best host ever, met us in the small street where the private entrance to our appartment was. There was a parking spot nearby and we had a private garden for our dog (although he was welcome all over the place). The appartment was absolutely amazing, wonderfull! So many rooms, all nicely decorated. One of the couches in the living room was beautiful but less comfy. But the weather was great so we used mainly the balcony terrace. A lovely place also to spend your evening with the cosy lightening. There was breakfast for a week in the fridge, way too much for us... There was fruit, yoghurt, bread, all kinds of meat etc. Also some drinks to start with. And we had a nespresso with some cups! Finally good coffee in an appartment. Simone gave us lots of tips, she offered to help us ordering pizza and introduced us to the dogs and family that also lived on the estate. It was amazing what she offered. I had the pool for myself, there was a beautiful huge park surrounding the houses, so lovely maintained. The story of the property is also special. There is so much to see what I cannot explain in this review. Just go and visit this place and meet the wonderful host and her beautiful decorated B&B. Thanks Simona for having us an keeping up with Marleys barking. He felt so at home I think that he started protecting the place with his life.... I hope we will be in this neighbourhood in future and enjoy your beautiful place again and enjoy your and yours dogs company. Thanks for everything (I must have forgotten so much...)!
Negative: I cannot think of anything that could be better. I didn't like the moscitos but they are part of the real world. Just bring some good anti insect spray with you would be my suggestion.
Summary: The most wonderful B&B stay ever

Positive: convenient one-night stay very close to Switzerland, in a beautiful setting not far from Lake Lugano. Beds were comfortable and the shower was good. Nice view with a balcony. There is a swimming pool (although we did not use this). The Hostess was warmly welcoming and immediately offered to book dinner at a very good local restaurant.
Negative: we came at a bad time of year for mosquitoes outside, although they didn't bother us inside the house. The neighbourhood has a lot of noisy dogs. Breakfast very basic. Couldn't get the coffee machine to work.
Summary: Excellent stay near the Swiss border

Positive: We liked everything about our stay in Il Pioppo Antico! The apartment is very spacious, nicely decorated, charismatic, and comfortable. Absolutely beautiful terrace with breathtaking view was our preferred space to spend the time. The private garden around the house is very nice to walk around in the company of 4 friendly tailed hosts - beautiful dogs 🙂 The location is perfect. Lakes Como, Maggiore, and Lugano, all are less than 1 hour drive away. Simona, our host, made our short vacation extremely pleasant and trouble-free. Her recommendations about places to visit, restaurants to eat have been the main highlights of our stay. We already plan to come back!
Summary: The best experience ever!
