Summary: We requested complimentary upgrade with better view room , if available. They charged it to our card without our confirmation. Next day we got to know about this , but the lady at the reception was extremely rude and misbehaved.

Summary: The view from the room is great. Breakfast is nice too. Only thing is the front desk leaves at 10pm and one night the lights were automatically on and off for a few times, I texted the staff. The next day I came back late and well past 10, I didn’t know if they will lock the door or not so let them know too by texting. The front desk person is from Romania, said I texted her two days in a row. She also said she already told me so when I checked in. The tone with her seems always hush. Meantime she herself made mistakes on charging my credit card for payments as I’ve paid more to have the flexible stay option and could have checked out a day earlier to stay in my destination the last night so I didn’t have to drive back late past 10 to text her to simply let her know. Other local hires are nice.

Summary: We have stayed at this hotel for many years. It has one of the, if not the best view of Lago di Como of all hotels. I never get tired of sitting on their terrace, soaking in the scenic lake beauty with Alps in the background, with a glass of delicious Italian wine in your hand. The hotel is currently being updated, but all of the rooms are charming and comfortable. They have a very good restaurant on site where they serve the morning breakfast. The hotel staff go out of their way to make you happy.

Summary: Room was booked on Expedia as including a cooked to order breakfast but hotel staff informed us only the buffet was included.

Summary: The view from our Superior Lake View room was spectacular. However, the room itself was extremely underwhelming, very tiny, old, and badly in need of refurbishment. Looked like it had not been touched in 30 years. The bathroom walls and floor were coated in an ugly grey liquid plastic that was supposed to look like concrete and the shower, also coated in the same, only had a half-glass partition and its floor was level with the bathroom floor. The shower had a wooden window that could open but the frame was starting to rot. If we hadn't pre-paid for 3 nights we would have left after the first night.
