Positive: Marie-linne was a fabulous hostess! She was very welcoming. Our room was stunning. Well, her whole place was stunning! Full of character and like a fairytale! Breakfast was delicious. Homemade bread & croissants, charcuterie & cheese, jam, butter and rice pudding. All presented on vintage china! Truly lovely! The castle is right outside and there are shops and restaurants just a short walk away too.

Positive: We had a very comfortable overnight stay at Il etait une fois, at the foot of the chateau in Pierrefonds. Our room was spacious and quiet. We liked the quirky light fittings and general decor. Parking on the street nearby was not an issue. The friendly hostess provided some of her lovely home-baked goods for breakfast - rolls, jams and croissants. We enjoyed our stay and would happily return. The b&b is close to lovely patisseries etc. We enjoyed the pedalos on the lake and had a very good evening meal at the Castello restaurant, which catered for vegans, too.

Negative: We would prefer to have the facility (a kettle!) to make drinks in the bedroom.

Summary: A comfortable stay in a perfect location.

Positive: Lovely and stylish place in front of the castle, very tastefully decorated… Room was large with a beautiful bathroom. Excellent breakfast with homemade jam and croissant The owners are extremely nice , friendly and helpful. These people are passionate about their job and know how to please their guests from A to Z. The lady gave me some valuable and useful information about sympathetic places to visit in the surroundings. I am very grateful for that.. I highly recommend this extraordinary guesthouse.
