Positive: The stay at Il Borro was simply unforgettable. The team was extremely charming, all very polite, attentive, and helpful, assisting in organizing all our activities with great care. The experiences we had — from the Truffle Hunting, Farm Tour to the hot air balloon ride, the leather and the silver workshops, and the estate’s wine pairings — were all special, with impeccable quality in the services, meals, and hospitality. I also highlight the beauty and tranquility of the place, which provide a true breath of well-being.

Positive: Beautiful location and everywhere you look the property is so beautiful. We stayed in the country side area and our suite was lovely and so spacious.

Negative: I think for the price it is lacking a few things making it a very overpriced stay. For a stay of this price I would expect everything to be perfect and it really wasn’t. I found the staff at some of the restaurants were a little slow sometimes and the service wasn’t what I’d expect for a 5 star expensive hotel. I’m not saying the service was really bad it just wasn’t as good as I’d expect. Sometimes they would forget to bring you olive oil and bread (the bread was clearly left over from breakfast and was so dry and horrible) at breakfast it could take 20 minutes before someone took your drink order. The food in the countryside area wasn’t the best either and very overpriced and fairly basic. The cleaning of the rooms and turndown service really was the bare minimum. Overall I just think they need to make some small changes to make the experience one worth the money.
