Positive: Did not have the breakfast. Location was ok parking was an issue as there was construction on two locations on the street. Scaffolding took up aprox. four parking spots.

Negative: Our linens were changed once a week but our room and bathroom was not cleaned for the entire six weeks we were there. The kitchen was small a cooktop but no oven not great for a long term stay. Not a lot of dishes and utensils forks knives spoons glasses plates. No toaster. We were expecting to have a two bedroom two bath apartment too ourselves but there was a third bedroom that had a steady strem of gusts overnight while we were there. We had to make sure that our food was not left in the kitchen or it was taken by other guests. There are no laundry services available we had to drive thirty minutes each way to a laundry in Cosenza to do wash. Paola could be a great tourist destination but there is a lack of pride in the city garbage is just thrown in the streets and people walking their dogs do not clean up pet waste but leave it on the street everywhere. What a shame they treat their city this way.

Positive: Loved the local vibe & full Italian experience. Check in was easy, very close to the train station. The room (#1) is large with a modern bathroom, exceptionally clean. It is very quiet and there is a nice restaurant (il Pavone pizza), which serves more than pizza, nearby as well. Usually we would search further for dinner but it was pouring with rain when we arrived so we were grateful for the convenience. Also, Reception/ Check is in a different building to which you sleep, which is also a cafe & the breakfast place, (18 il Nuova del Porto). It is very simple to find, even closer to the train. The owner/manager was very friendly and walked us to the actual room with the keys showing us everything. There is a shared kitchen if you wish. Breakfast was at the cafe, traditional croissant, coffee, toast & jam.
