Positive: Spent Friday night of Family Day weekend at the Idlewyld. Inn is located very centrally with easy access to hockey rinks; movie theatre; downtown and the 401; but also is set in a quiet neighbourhood. Parking is very well placed; check in was smooth and friendly; the quality; presentation and portions of the dinner( which had been highly touted by check in staff) exceeded expectations and server was top notch. Breakfast buffet was good and servers Sue and Jackie were great. Spent time Saturday morning comfortably seated on the covered front patio soaking up the sun. All in all a great stay. It was not our first stay and hopefully not our last.

Positive: Loved the clean rooms and history of the building Staff that checked us in to our room was friendly , helpful and made it an inviting and good experience.

Negative: The room was very cold. Heaters stopped working during middle of the night. The lady staff that checked us out when leaving was not very nice. Didn’t ask us how our stay was, didn’t even look up at us to speak, and very unfriendly. After receiving our receipt I said thank you and have a good day and I got absolutely NO response from her. We as guests were just ignored by the front desk staff when leaving. Unfortunately I will not be returning in the future due to the bad experience with checkout staff lady. Did not catch her name but lady with very long dark black hair with bangs.
