Positive: The location is perfect for train station and walking into town. Quiet location and friendly neighbors

Negative: The bed was not comfortable, the Wi-Fi didn’t reach most of the house, the water pressure was very low and took a very long time to shower. Wasn’t in a ‘clean condition’ with dirty floors, cobwebs, smells of marijuana by the front door on entry and a few other bits could have been cleaned better.

Summary: I never spent much time in the property as was out most days and evenings but the beds could do with being upgraded for

Positive: nice house, convenient location with parking, good host

Negative: a bit too basic - needs a bit more provided. Just one modest bath towel each, no hand towel in bedroom, downstairs loo or kitchen. Crockery not clean, and no plug in kitchen sink. No hairdryer. Very small side tables in lounge but no coffee table or surface to use while watching TV. Water flow from shower very feeble.

Positive: Good location, walking distance to historical city centre. Host was easy to contact through booking's messenger service and responsive. Private parking space was nice. The kids liked the Alexa (but to be honest, I would have preferred enough dining room chairs over a voice A.I... )

Negative: The house could've been cleaner. Bedsheets were cleaned but had stains all over them nonetheless. There was a smell in some of the rooms (that was not coming from the airfresheners) that was unpleasant. The house was not equipped to host 6 guests. There weren't enough plates/cutlery. I contacted the host and she assured me she was going to bring some extra's, so that should be okay now. But, and this annoyed me even more, there was only a really tiny dining room table and only 4 chairs. How can you have a property where 6 people can sleep, but only 4 people can eat? We decided to eat all our meals out because of this...

Positive: very clean and comfortable. Appreciated that fresh milk was left in the fridge, and teabags and instant coffee provided.

Negative: we found the shower controls confusing and the water pressure a bit feeble. One welcome addition would have been a coffee pot/cafetiere/some way to use the ground coffee we brought!

Positive: Quiet location close to Strood Train Station and about 15mins walk from Rochester High Street. Good off road parking

Negative: The property could have been cleaner especially the kitchen. The dining table was really too small for a three bed property and the lounge would have benefited from an extra chair as only a sofa
