Positive: Icena is a great place to stop in the north east corner of Tassie. Accommodation is limited if you don’t want to camp & Icena is quality accommodation that really fills the gap. The communal industrial kitchen has every piece of cooking equipment you could require plus a huge coffee machine to delight the coffee enthusiast & the separate dining/lounge room is excellent. Nothing is missing & it encourages friendly interaction with other guests. Heating, cooling & electric blankets in the bedroom were great & the view of the cows out the bathroom window a picture.

Negative: Some hooks in the bathroom would have been nice.

Summary: Quality alternative to camping in Tassie’s north-east

Positive: Accommodation is located in the middle of the farm. Facilities are fantastic, everything is super comfortable and clear that the hosts did not cheap out on furniture. The atmosphere is really calm and there is a great chance to spot some of the Tassie wildlife. The firepit area is great with large stones that you can stargaze on. It’s clear the hosts care about guests having a good time.
