Positive: Great location, relatively good value. I was really just glad to have air conditioning! Comfortable bed.

Negative: The room felt unclean, there was even a large carpet stain outside the toilet door which looked quite old. Pretty gross. The decor could probably do with an update…but it appears they’re undergoing renovations currently.

Positive: The location — close to the U-Bahn and in one of the best districts of Berlin. And the stuff, they were really nice and let me leave my luggage after I checked out.

Negative: Toilet, bathroom sink and shower are ridiculously small and uncomfortable. Huge, glass shower door isn’t secured, and if you let it close by itself you will hear a loud noise and risk shattering it. Lights were working weirdly. There was no wi-fi, which is questionable. The lifts were sometimes working and sometimes not. You could only open the window half way through, maybe it’s a safety feature, but unbearable in 28°C.

Summary: Alright, but worsened by small inconveniences.

Positive: Location was good and nice to have free coffee. The staff were helpful.

Negative: The beds were very uncomfortable and pillows were not good for neck. The mattresses made our backs ache very badly. The shower head attachment was broken so we could not enjoy a nice shower. It was a very noisy area due to residents. We were woken up very early

Negative: Staff were nice upon arrival and offered to give us different choices for breakfast during our stay but we encountered different staff the second day who were rude about the option we were given. We decided not to use the breakfast option to avoid rude staff members at the counter.

Summary: First hotel stay in Berlin but there are other choices we will go further with in the future.
