Summary: The hotel is beautiful, with lots of places to sit and relax, lovely gardens and an excellent swimming pool. There were always pool chairs available and poolside service for drinks. The food in the buffet and at the a-la-cartes was excellent. You will never go hungry here, there is always something delicious to eat. The beach is well maintained and the attendant is quick to bring you a lounge chair, they could do with a few more umbrellas at the beach. The staff are friendly and professional. Our favourite place was the sunset bar overlooking the ocean. The view is stunning at any time of day and especially just after the sun has set. We will definitely be back to Iberostar Playa Mita.

Summary: The bathtub drain did not close. The closet space for hangers was insufficient. The patio door was hard to open and close. The dehumidifier filter was filthy and was full of water. The door was hard to open and close. One of the safe’s was not operational. Victor our concierge dumped us the minute we told him we would not attend the breakfast meeting. We were not allowed to see our upgraded room before we purchased it. The picture we were shown for our upgraded room looked like it had an ocean view. Which it did not. Beach chairs and umbrellas were scattered recklessly. Entertainment was lacking. But I understand that you get what you pay for…therefore my rating is average but we will not return.
