Summary: The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. We liked staying here whenever we visit NYC as the location is great especiallyif using tge subway, but as soon as you step out to 42nd Street there homeless sleeping and feces on the sidewalk now.

Summary: Our family (9 of us) took a trip from Delaware to NYC. We chose the Hyatt as it was close to Penn Station, and it was afforadable for all of us, as we had to get 3 rooms. The hotel is immaculate, the staff that helped us was very friendly and very knowledgeable and helpful and very eager to answer any questions and offer helps! We will definitely go back!

Summary: We’ve stayed here before and let’s just say the quality has gone way downhill. We walked out of our Uber to find a homeless person laying at one of the entrances that we had to walk around. First of all, our room wasn’t ready at the 4:00 time of check in (we even walked around and gave them some extra time). I paid extra to have a room with a ‘city view’ which wound up being two slivers of windows that looked at the side of another building. The first night we were there, we saw a show and had noticed on the way out that the hotel sign said the restaurant and bar was ‘open until midnight serving drinks and small plates’. When we got back at 10:15, they said the kitchen was closed (this was on a Saturday night). My son and I had to settle for a sandwich that had been sitting out for who knows how long and a yogurt and grapes from the ‘market’. This was when I also found out they do not offer room service. We were starving the next morning to say the least. If we come back to NYC, I sadly, wouldn’t come here again. Way overpaid for our stay that was not what the pictures or previous memories depicted.

Summary: The location is great. The hotel was decent. We stayed 2 nights to bring our twin daughters to see Hamilton on Broadway. We were underwhelmed by guest services. We tried calling for more towels as there were only 2 in our room. No answer. My husband had to go down 31 floors to the front desk to ask for towels. They never delivered. I called the following morning and finally got some towels. We stayed in this same hotel about 10+ years ago and decided to return; however, we most likely wouldn't next time.

Summary: The location is great! The room was spacious and clean. Everything was functioning correctly, with the exception of keeping the water temperature regulated in the shower. Also, the elevators are slow! Otherwise, it's a great place ... and we would stay there again.

Summary: Everything about this place screams "bad 1970s design" starting with the profoundly ugly black glass exterior, continuing through the dark "grand" lobby, and ending with the individual rooms. My room was one of the most uncomfortable I've ever had. First, there was the bed with the mediocre mattress. It didn't leave me feeling restful. Next was the desk chair. It had one one those incredibly uncomfortable round seatbacks that leaves you wishing you could sit anywhere else ... except, of course, for the even less comfortable "deep chair" in the room. The only good thing to say about both chairs was that they were sturdy and very well built -- so well built, in fact, that moving them requires using a fork lift. (Let's just say that they're a bit heavy.) Then there's the closet with the single closet rod mounted too close to the floor. (It's great for kids's clothes!) The closet is also the place where you'll find your extra roll of toilet paper, though accessing it when you need it will require getting up off the toilet and journeying through both the bedroom and the closet first. Let's hope your cleanup job isn't too messy! But, no worries, when you turn to the bathroom sink, you'll find that's there's plenty of hot water. It's just that accessing it requires you to practically crush your hands to reach the sink handles: The space between them and shelf above is unusually tight. Oh, not to forget, there's the door. It's not sound proof. People in the hall? You'll hear them!

Summary: It was a family trip for a very happy occasion. The location is great, being near Grand Central station was a treat. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The bed was comfy. So the biggest negative to me was the water: inefficient type of flush toilets, and you had to wait a LONG time for the hot water to become hot, and the pressure was quite low. Still using small plastic bottles in the bathrooms. So environnentally friendly I could say check "not." But convenient and nice people.
