This award winning home showcases an immaculate integration of modern stylish architecture and functionality. Located in a natural setting, Hyams Retreat is just around the corner from the main Hyams Beach entrance. Please also note that this property has two queen bedrooms and that the two single beds are loft style beds, accessed via a vertical ladder.
Please note:
- Strictly no parties at this property – please. You will be evicted if this rule is broken.
- The two single beds located on the sleeping platforms are accessed via a ladder and are within a loft space which is not high enough to stand in. It is for the purposes of sleeping only.

Where will I be?
Prestigiously positioned at the southern end of Hyams Beach, adjacent to a natural stream. It is hard to believe that the beach is only 100 metres away.

Set back from the street, this home has an elevated living space with modern features, open living and a lovely deck.
How is the property laid out?
The living area is all on one level. The sleeping arrangements are: one queen room with ensuite shower, built-ins, access to the deck and a ceiling fan; and one queen room with built-ins and a ceiling fan. There are two loft style single sleeping platforms located in the study above the bookshelves. Please note that these are accessed by ladders. See photos for further information. The house is open plan throughout and has spacious lounge / dining / kitchen area with gas heating. There is also a shared shower bathroom for the second and third rooms, and a laundry adjoining the kitchen.
WiFi, Internet, Netflix or Pay TV - will I have it?

What about outdoors?
Hyams Retreat is located back from the street with ample space for parking in the front. There is an outdoor shower adjacent to the front door and the deck runs along the back of the property.
Staying warm or keeping cool?!
Hyams Retreat has a gas fireplace in the living room. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans and there is a floor standing fan for warmer days.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Hyams Retreat is supplied with linen and towels. Please remember to bring your favourite beach towels.

There is a carport for one car and space for two cars on the driveway.

Is there any special information I should know about?
Hyams Retreat has a security alarm. The code will be provided with the keys and the alarm does not have to be used during your stay. You also do not need to activate the alarm when you leave. That will be done by the cleaner on the day of your departure.

- Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
- Easter: 4 nights
- Long Weekends: 3 nights
- All other times: 2 nights
Are there any special Summer Season rules?
Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.

Summary: The property was advertised as being surrounded by bush and very close to the magnificent Hyams beach . While the latter was true ) and it is a spectacularly beautiful beach!) the bush surrounds were a wasteland after recent fire clearing . Blackened scrub was dumped outside the house and our view was of an unsightly wasteland . .it just felt like misrepresentation on the website. However the house itself was well stocked and clean. We loved the simple and tasteful design of the house and the fabulous bookshelves! ( we have so many of the same books on our own shelves at home!) Apart from our one gripe, overall we loved the stay and think the owners are very lucky to have this little bit of paradise . Thank you for sharing it !

Summary: We stayed at the retreat for 3 nights with our 4 children we absolutely loved it! The location is perfect only a 2 minute walk to the beach you can actually hear the waves from the house so calming and soothing especially during the night. The house is surrounded by natural bushland with the sound of the native birds absolutely amazing. The kitchen is so well equipped you have everything you need to to cook. There is also lots of board games and puzzles and an abundance amount of books. The house was also very clean. Will definitely be coming back to the retreat. It was 10/10 for us. Thank you

Summary: Sitting up in the trees, with a creek gurgling below the deck, we saw golden whistlers, white-throated tree creepers and many more native birds and kangaroos. You can hear the waves crashing on the beach and you feel life's stress washing away.

Summary: This property has an ideal position, sheltered in the bush, but the shortest of walks to the crystal water and white sands of Hyams Beach. The internal design of the house works well, being compact but with lots of storage. The windows allow loads of natural light and frame views of the surrounding bush, both on the block and in the adjacent creek gully. It is an ideal beach and bush holiday location for a small family.
