This a very bright clean studio apartment, 6 sky lights give you bright sunshine all day! There’s a lovely sun deck with an 11’ umbrella if you want shade, and it has solar lights for those warm summer evenings outside. Everything you could possibly want or need is provided! Located on 3 acres just a short 10 minute drive to our beautiful beach and the village of Qualicum.
The space
We have a very large yard with a 16’ diameter x42” deep pool surrounded by recliners and small tables for entertainment and relaxing. Barbecues, and badminton, horseshoes and baseball mitts, bat and balls. Plenty of room to play!
Guest access
Access to all 3 acres with large fir trees and trails for walking, and only minutes to the famous Goats on the Roof in Coombs BC Cathedral Grove and little Qualicum and Englishman River falls, Cameron lake, Horne Lake, Illusion Lake and Spider lake. Tofino and Uclulet on the amazing West Coast Rainforest Trail is only a 2 1/2 hour, scenic drive, totally worth the trip!
Other things to note
Qualicum Beach is one of the best known tourist towns on Vancouver Island. We are 35 minutes from Courtenay/Comox, 35 minutes from
Port Alberni, 35 minutes from Nanaimo and only 2 hours from Victoria. There are 4 lakes and 5 golf courses within 10 minutes to a half hour from my place.

Summary: Great location to access lakes, beaches and provincial parks. Suit had all the things we needed to make meals including a bbq and nice deck to have dinner. When we arrived there was fresh eggs, milk, bread and butter in the fridge which was a nice surprise. Kelly was quick to respond to any questions we had and was very welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay!

Summary: Staying with Kelly was a lovely experience. She was available, kind and attentive to everything we needed and the property itself was attractive and pleasant to relax at. The only issue was that the room was dusty and the bath tub could use a little tlc (note there is no shower).

Summary: Every necessary is supplied. Wifi is good. We didn't turn on the TV or use the wood stove but they are a nice addition. Air conditioner is a definite bonus. Overall it was a nice relaxing stay with a congenial caretaker that made sure we were happy.

Summary: I chose Kelly's place as an opportunity to hang out with my grandson for a weekend. This was an amazing location because my grandsons love to swim and they had the outdoor, above ground pool at their disposal. There were chickens and many puppies to keep the boys entertained too. The hummingbird suite was well appointed with a very comfy Murphy bed, and pull out beds for the boys. Kelly provided eggs, butter, milk and bread on our arrival. She promptly responded to all of our enquiries. Truly the hostess with the mostest. We had a marvellous time here. We will be back sooner than later. Thank you Kelly and Nat!

Summary: Huge property with the surprisingly spacious loft above owner's house. It was peaceful and even though Kelly has dogs** we only heard them outside. Travelling with a friend and my small dog, there was room for all. The kitchen had everything, including fresh eggs, milk, butter and bread for toast. I read prev comments re shower: you're of town and on a well. Pressure will fluctuate. Yes, roosters wake up early but we all went back to sleep. The large property is fenced, there are a couple of other cottages/trailers. We felt safe and Kelly was quick to respond if we had questions. A word about the dogs**: Kelly has small dogs and had just suffered a loss in the family which gave her more dogs. Larger ones. Their attentions were overwhelming for my CairnX and I believe they sensed this by day 3 when nipping ensued on our way to the car. The larger dogs seemed fine with people but maybe territorial in new home? I scooped my dog up as Kelly dispersed the gang. Anyways, my rescue dog was very traumatized although, fortunately, not physically injured. I would recommend checking which dogs are in residence before taking your dog.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay! 3 Generations in Nice to be in the trees! Beautiful patio with great bbq. Kelly was welcoming and helpful and attendant. Offered additional items as needed. A calm, relaxed, friendly but respectful host. We really liked and appreciated her. My daughter loved visiting the chickens. We loved the studio itself and enjoyed the deep tub. Kelly offered driving instructions to recommended lake. We appreciated arriving to a few food basics. We had great fun with the game in the suite! Charming.

Summary: My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the loft there for a few days, the location was in reach of a lot of different & good places. The property owner was extremely nice, and was always there if we had any questions. I would love to go back during the winter time, we had a lovely stay.
