Positive: Spacious and quiet

Negative: Bathroom and Towels were a little tired and the kitchen was not as clean as I would have liked (red wine stains in sink). Also cheap hairdryer with nozzle end missing. I asked the cleaning lady about it, but she couldnt help.

Summary: Nice and spacious, secure parking in front and central. Ouderkerk a/d Amstel is a lovely town.

Positive: We think the hotel is very good for the family trip, our family had an unforgettable stay at this wonderful hotel by the river! The view from our room was breathtaking! The surrounding area was lovely for walks, with plenty of nature and fresh air. This is very good for a family here. Parking was hassle-free, which was a huge plus. It was secure and easily accessible, making it convenient for our family to explore the area without worries. We will be back in the summer!

Positive: Bijou, stylish and comfortable, this had everything we needed more! The huge shower and bath were a real bonus, the compact kitchen was perfect and the bed was super comfortable.

Positive: The house is a historic building, but with all the amenities. Beautiful decor, high ceiling with exposed beams which created a lovely atmosphere. The bathroom was gorgeous with a huge bath (and plenty of hot water to fill it!). It's great that we had free parking right in front of the house. It's so rare for Amsterdam places. I loved having a spacious retreat space from the busy city life. The weather was stormy while I was there, so I didn't get to explore the nature surrounding area with the Amstel river right in front. It was quite peaceful, and I saw a few people exercising/ cycling on the river path.

Negative: Because of the high ceilings, it was a bit slow to heat the space. I got confused with the heating system. Upstairs, it was better. I would have enjoyed an extension cord so my phone could charge next to the bed. The wall plug was a bit far from the bed. The spiral staircase to the bedroom had low clearing parts, which was a bit tricky to use as a tall person. I would have enjoyed a night light in the bathroom to ease night-time visits. The location was hard to reach without a car. But it's great for people on a driving holiday with parking right in front. Perhaps having bicycles available would improve the access to this space. 😉
