Summary: This place is well situated and has a nice side yard and porch. Close to a river, we went down about 10 min just pulled off the road and the kids played there for a few hours. The house is nice and has plenty of things for cooking. Overall it was great! There were 24 of us.We did have some issues. The place looked like it wasn't tended too often. It was well cleaned!, but maintenance wasn't the best. The washer didn't work, but I'm sure it will be fixed soon. The downstairs tub/shower couldn't be used.The biggest issue was we did have bedbugs in one room. I think if that mattress is replaced there won't be further issue. We were there 5 nights and had no problems except in the main level room that has a small bath and jacuzzi tub. The owner was great about it all and helpful. Bedbugs happen anywhere with travelers, but I'm sure with a new mattress it'll be taken care of.Note on the hot tub. The instructions say not to mess with most of the buttons. We got there and it was in sleep mode, so around 94 degrees max. I found instructions online to get it out of sleep mode. Its pretty simple. You hit the heat or cool button that is closest to the light bottom and then hit the light button and it'll change modes. This is why its easy to change on accident. After that it warmed up pretty quickly.We appreciated the owners help and consideration. The communication can be slow, but they did take care of us. We really liked the house and location and over all it was a great time!

Summary: This is the second year that our men's group has had a retreat at the Davis family lodge and just like last year, it was wonderful. We especially enjoy the ability to have all 20 of us seated around one table for meals. We were pleasantly surprised this year that the driveway has been paved. We are planning to be back again next year.

Summary: We stayed at the cabin during a recent snow storm of over 6”. It was a magical experience for our kids who have never seen snow like that before. The cabin was great, a mud room to take off all our wet clothes, heaters that helped dry everything out, a farmhouse table to seat everyone for meals, a pool table, and hang out area downstairs, etc. We unfortunately had communication issues with the owner, but that doesn’t seem common from other reviews. We also stressed over how we would be able to leave given that the driveway was steep and covered in ice and snow, but the day we were supposed to check out one of the neighbors assisted to plow and salt the driveway. We later found out this is common and would have saved us a lot of anxiety to have known ahead of time, so I’m sharing for anyone in the future that stays during snow. We also saw some bugs in the kitchen but that was likely exacerbated by the snow and can be easily resolved. We plan to return and recommend this cabin to others. We look forward to coming back in warmer weather and exploring the area.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay during Christmas. Plenty of space and the weather warmed enough to use the playground and firepit. The hosts are very receptive to questions and are quick to reply. Nice people and we wouldn't hesitate to rent again. The only downside would be that the internet isn't very strong but we realized that we were on top of a mountain. Would rent again.

Summary: As a disaster relief group, the house fit our needs perfectly! From the large dining table to the many rooms and A+ for the extra mattresses(not air mattresses, real ones) and bedding etc. We cooked many meals and the kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans etc. This lodge gives a real cabin feel. The owner was kind and helpful! And the neighbors we met were also friendly and kind. Thank you for the pleasant accommodations!
