Positive: Ate Panyang, the caretaker, was incredibly accommodating. We arrived quite late for check-in, but she was patiently waiting for us and helped us settle in right away. Her kindness made the whole arrival feel smooth and welcoming. The beach view was absolutely superb. I ended up sleeping for half the day just enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, while my sister worked on her thesis at the resort with the ocean right in front of her. At one point I told her that her whole setup looked like the cover of People We Meet on Vacation — doing her thesis with that beautiful seaside view. It made the whole stay feel even more fun and relaxing.

Negative: None so far.

Positive: I stayed at House Rapunzel with my mom and brother. Little bit of a hiccup with regards to the shower and AC, but everything else is all good considering the price that we've paid. Honestly, if not for the AC problem, everything is 10/10, looking again at the price we've paid. ‎ ‎ I've read the reviews about this place and honestly, you are just getting what you will pay for in this establishment. Read the info about the hotel and manage your expectations since you are not booking for a luxurious establishment. ‎ ‎Here's a run down to what I love, what I feel needs to be improved, and what you should know if you are thinking of booking House Rapunzel. ‎ ‎LOVE: ‎- helpful staff and owner, if you need anything ask them and they're willing to help you ‎- beachfront! refreshing view and clean beach ‎- complete cooking amenities, whether you want to make yourself a BBQ, cook rice, or fry something, you can do it here (ask for assistance if you need help) ‎- strong internet connection (I didn't expect this, but yes their internet connection is really strong) ‎- the place is generally clean and well-maintained (I'm a bit of a neat freak so I'm taking note of this) ‎- beach front view replete of flowers, coconut trees, and hut ‎- you can buy freshly-caught fish in the morning, ask the caretaker where and she'll assist you ‎

Negative: ‎TO IMPROVE: ‎- AC needs to be checked, when we get there the room prepared for us was really hot since there's a problem with the AC. we booked the room with AC, so I'm expecting it. Also, the water suddenly stopped working in the middle of the night. There was a problem with their pipe. I've informed them about it and they really tried to give us a comfier stay by transferring us to another room. I took a shower outside which is a bit funny but we're the only ones there so no biggie. ‎- A suggestion: change the main room light to white from yellow. It's just me but I love to read and yellow light is really uncomfortable so. ‎ ‎WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: ‎(If you want to book the place.) ‎-The place has a beach front, but it's also literally beside the main street s it's normal that you can hear noises from vehicles. But it's not to the point that you will get disturbed bu them. ‎-The electric stove runs quite slow, it takes time to really heat up so I suggest use the grill, and the pan for it. Their caretaker will assist you. ‎- If you're not into cooking, expect to travel a bit via tricycle to go to the nearest restaurant. ‎- The place is not a convenient store, so if you wanna cook or have some snacks or sodas or whatever, buy them beforehand and you'll be fine. ‎- Water supply is really a problem in the South. The same thing is true with some parts in the city, so expect some low water pressure. ‎- They do have dishwashing soap and handsoap. You gotta bring your own personal body soap and shampoo. Towels are clean and provided though. ‎- Ask if you're staying in the basement room, expect a bit of a musty smell, but that's normal since you are staying in a place near the beach. ‎- Also, you might run into ants or few insects, but I find these normal as well having stayed in some establishments near beaches.

Positive: Yancy was amazing and took really good care of us. We were well looked after throughout our stay and were even invited to join in a family celebration where we had the opportunity to try the local cuisine.

Negative: The temperature of the shower was a little difficult to manage.

Positive: Awesome 👌 friendly staff and accommodating. Excellent service and area to stay. Near to everything. The tour guide is awesome named Junjun and taxi driver DJ. Just ask for Junjun from the caretaker of Rapunzel. Not greedy, and you're in a good hand. Well deserved a high good rating. Caretaker Yanz is awesome. Excellent service with free fresh coconut fruits and sweet potatoes yummy.

Negative: Awesome. Quite and peaceful place and area. Safe and well rested. Clean room, aircon, and bathroom. You can cook just bring your own food and ingredients to cook. Near by different restaurants, groceries, and close to the whale shark and falls and islands. Good for family and couple vacationers.
