Positive: Location, and view from Room 2, lovely. Quiet.

Negative: Building and room have no locks or keys, there is no one at the property to greet you, but the manager did call me to explain that. If you are worried about security, this is not the place for you. He assured me that things are very safe on the Island, but I assume that would not be legally binding if something were to have been stolen. No breakfast was provided. There was a coffee station with creamer, no fresh milk. I went out for a coffee - not a 'bed and breakfast'. For the level of services and quality of linens etc. the price was crazy high, but it was Memorial Day weekend. Off season would probably be more reasonable.

Summary: A nice and well-located simple old house, creaky and quirky. Lovley water views.

Positive: Stay here, you won't regret it! Beautiful old creaky house oozing charm and history, cosy dark wood abounds, a snug conservatory to play games in, a veranda with a swing, and out front chairs and a hammock on the waters edge. Great host, great house, great stay.

Positive: The house is very well situated on the creek and has a wonderful view. The house is gorgeous and so typical of the island. Very close to great restaurants and bars and within short walking distances. We had a great time and our host was great!

Positive: Breakfast is no longer served which the host told me when I confirmed my reservation. The location is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. The host, Bill, was friendly, kind and full of recommendations for dining and sights to see on the island. We stayed in Room #1 which was very large with a king size bed and a view of the creek. The best thing was just relaxing on the porch swing and enjoying the quiet and stillness. I highly recommend staying here and I plan on going back again.

Negative: I didn't notice any smoke detectors.
