Positive: I had a great stay! The breakfast was delicious, and the hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Negative: Overall, the stay was pleasant, but a couple of things could be improved. The room didn't have air conditioning, which made it a bit uncomfortable, but mitigated with the fan. Also, the towels provided were a bit rough and not as soft as expected. With a few small upgrades, the experience could be even better.

Positive: the place was cute,we liked the way it was redone. The owner was a very nice and pleasant person, trying to accomodate us with everything we needed. Good atmosphere!

Negative: Due to the fact, that we had very hot days, the room we slept in was very hot and it made it difficult to sleep. It would be advisable to have an AC.

Positive: The Three Marias is a very comfortable, pretty, friendly guesthouse in a lovely rural location, and Peter and Lineke could not be more helpful or welcoming. The bed was comfortable, the shower was good, and it was wonderful to have shady, outdoor spaces that we were welcome to use all day. Breakfast was also exceptional, with warm, local bread, Lineke's home baked cakes and fresh fruit. The guesthouse is also within easy reach of several river beaches, and only an hour from the coast. All in all, I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Summary: The perfect place for a peaceful holiday in the depths of the Portuguese countryside.

Positive: Peter was one of the best hosts that I had the please to meet. We felt at home right from the start with his hospitality and beautiful country house. If we need to stay again near Pedrógão Grande we will stay definitely again in the House of the three Marias.
