Summary: We had a great week at Waterside. We were incredibly lucky with the weather, but even if we had not been the view from the house and garden would still have been incredible. The indoor pool is fantastic and a good size, our daughter probably would have stayed in it all day if she had been allowed. And the beach at the end of the garden is great for paddle boarding. The house is well equipped with everything you could need. The lounge is a lovely relaxation space with that view. Lamlash itself has good facilities and it’s a small co-op and a few decent pubs / restaurants which are all very walkable (and for further supplies Brodick is just a short drive). The island is easy to get around - we enjoyed Blackwaterfoot Beach, the Machrie standing stones, swimming in the pools at Glen Rosa and visiting the Arran Distillery.

Summary: We had the best week staying at Waterside. The house is a great size with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The pool was brilliant, great size and really clean, loads of fun. The location was perfect , close enough for walking to restaurants and shops and great base for visiting other parts of the Island. But more than anything - waking up to that view every morning was just unbelievable.

Summary: Stunning views and pool area. The children practically lived in the pool and the adults appreciated being able to shower and change privately in an area next to the pool. Some restrictions due to Covid meant we couldn’t visit some of the visitor attractions but local people are very welcoming. Overall a wonderful holiday for grandparents, parents and 2 children

Summary: Review of waterside We Stayed at “Waterside” on the Isle of Arran for the first two weeks of September this year. My initial thoughts about waterside was “Heaven in the Highlands” but as an avid reader of peoples reviews when booking a holiday, I think I should enlarge a bit. Waterside is a quiet, new property, built next to the sea and has been expertively designed to benefit from the fantastic view of the Lamlash bay and the view to Holy Isle. The sea view is one seen in picture books but when you see it the first time, you are speechless. Inside the bungalow, which was spotlessly clean, it had everything you required and was designed very well. The sitting room ,dining area and kitchen are one room or better known as open planned but cleverly built ; the sitting area is at a lower level and the the kitchen encloses itself, therefore all three sections have their own character and also have the benefit of the view from the patio doors. Two of the three bedrooms, which were all of a good size with good quality bed linen, had beautiful sea views. The swimming pool was the icing on the cake, it was a good size, good temperature and immaculately clean with its own small bathroom at the end so we did not have to drip water though the house to have a shower. Waterside does have neighbours, but they are not close, we did see them occasionally but more importantly, we did not hear them. The booking process went well, and we found the owner extremely helpful and replied to emails very quickly and was available on the phone if we had any problems. The Isle of Arran is a beautiful island to drive around and I would recommend it or if you are feeling energetic, there are a lot of hiking routes, the people we found were very friendly and the pace of life was nice and slow and also everybody drove their cars in a good steady fashion. We wanted peace and tranquillity from our holiday, and we found it. Would we go again “YES”

Summary: Wonderful house in a wonderful location looking out to sea towards Holy Isle. All the facilities you need for a great family holiday including a lovely indoor pool. We had some lovely weather too enabling us to sit outside and take in the superb views all around us. What we all needed to recharge our batteries. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a very peaceful and tranquil break (except in our case we did have our gorgeous grandchildren running around and having fun). Owner contactable by phone or email if needed at anytime. Would like to return one day.

The view alone is worth everything but then on top you have a super cozy living room, very comfy beds, a great pool and a super nice host! A big thanks to Graeme for his help and his kindness.
