Positive: I suppose the location was decent
Negative: Everything was dated and, therefore, worn looking. The soap dispenser in the shower was very aquward to maneuver around without knocking it off the shower wall. The description said 2 berooms and 1 living room, but it was 1 bedroom with a bed in the living room.

Positive: The motel is really well placed in Rivière du loup, it is close to all the amenities and activities you need from a walkable distance or very short drive. The staff was nice even though I did not talk much with them. It's located in a calm neighborhood. The room themselves are well equipped we had a nice fridge, stove, microwave A/C and so forth. The room was comfortable.
Negative: I don't know if it's always like this but our room was very dirty. The floors were sticky and so were the counter tops. Even the bed head had this wierd white sticky stain which I don't need to explain what it was, so most probably that the bed sheets were not cleaned either. Just for a test we cleaned one floor tile with a white cloth and it became grey/brown. That's how we knew the floors had not been cleaned in a while. We also heard some wierd noises during the night as if the people in the other room next to us were walking in circles the whole night in their room and this happened for the two nights. That's not the Motel staff's fault, they were probably on some kind of drugs for the two nights, but still negative things kept adding up and we were glad to leave which is mostly rare when you are in vacation. One thing that also gave me a weird feeling was that the guy at the reception asked for ID's which is okay since they don't allow children, but he took notes of my driver's license information and credit card numbers and wrote that down on a little card instead of just asking for a security deposit like most hotels do, so now that guy litteraly has my information. That makes me want to cancel the card and order a new one so I don't end up in some kind of fraud or something. So if you go there I'd recommend you only pay with a credit card that has a low limit on it because who knows what they do with your information? It was the first time I was asked all of these informations for a Hotel or cottage and I have rented many. They usually ask for a security deposit but don't keep your driver's license number and credit card numbers.
