Positive: Very special and individual treatment. Extraordinary freshly prepared breakfast. Even with gluten free bread on request. Very helpful, friendly and supportive. Gravel bikes on demand available to explore the sourrounding.

Positive: 1. The hotel and its rooms are modern and tasteful. Hotel Yagajiso successfully combined a harmonious convergence of nature, design and relaxation. 2. Location. We were looking for a beachside hotel and it was almost like a quiet private beach when we were there. 3. The breakfast in the morning was simple, delicious and so memorable. 4. The snorkelling we did at the beach was one of the best experiences we had in Okinawa. In the first 50m, there were mostly sea grass and the visibility limited because of the sandy bottom, but we were blessed with a very beautiful coral reef when we got closer to the small island directly ahead of Hotel Yagajiso. We also experienced something that had never happened before in our lives despite snorkelling and diving in Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Australia and the Bahamas, a lone baby golden trevally accompanied us for about two hours while snorkelling at Yagajiso, swimming under us and around our legs the entire time. Oh, we also saw two rainbows during our swim. 5. Taro Kanakubo the general manager was very friendly and helpful. Seems like he's thought about everything his guests require for an excellent stay at Hotel Yagajiso.

Positive: Located in a quiet neighborhood on Yagaji Island, away from the hustle and bustle, situated on the water, with 3-4 restaurants in easy walking distance. Inside the room, the most spacious shower in Japan, sunrises streaming in through the glass doors, and a full washing machine and dryer in the room -- an unheard of luxury for travelers at the end of their vacation. What's not to like?

Negative: The beach out front really wasn't great for swimming or snorkeling. Flat calm, but very shallow. Not a knock against the property, just against nature itself. *shakes fist at planet*

Taro-san is a fabulous host - super kind and friendly! from providing transfer support and information on what do do and where to go - to the lovely surprise we got with our fantastic coffees in the morning - and the great recommendations! The rooms are beautiful and spacious with a fabulous view at the beach! We hope to come back one day!

Positive: Taro went out of his way to make us feel welcomed. Even though he does not speak much english, he managed to communicate efficiently via translator apps. Just few examples of his excellent customer service: Umbrellas appeared on our porch on the day it started raining. He suggested couple of amazing local restaurants and made reservations for us. When we could not find cab he took us to restaurant himself!
