Positive: The main selling point for this hotel would be its location. It is within walking distance to the touristy area of Brussels. Finding a last minute booking that was close to the events I was attending was the reason for my choice.
Negative: No air conditioning. I know this is not standard in a European hotel, but there also happened to be a massive heat wave that week and it was nearly unbearable to be in the room. At least I had a fan. Though the bathroom seems to have been upgraded, the towels provided were paper thin. The only provided toiletries were pump bottles of soap that one might find in a public restroom. Either bring your own or be prepared to purchase your own soap, shampoo, lotion, etc. at a nearby convenience store.
Summary: I had a bed, a fan, a bathroom. It was adequate.

Positive: Perfect location near Rue du midi, near tourist attractions and within walking distance to Gare du midi. Room was clean. Nice and clean bathroom. Staff friendly and helpful.

Positive: Good price/quality hotel for a short stay. Very close to the touristy stuff and walking distance to midi station. The little square feels safe and has some nice nightlife. I wouldn't stay here a week but it is def great for 1/2 nights. The person at the desk was very friendly also.
Negative: Couldn't get hot water to run in shower but that was a minor thing that I could have asked the staff about.
