Negative: Overall, I was quite disappointed with the breakfast. The cappuccino came from a machine and tasted awful, the bread was poor quality, and both the prosciutto and salame were unimpressive. The jams and cookies were industrial and lacked freshness. For the price, I really expected a much better breakfast experience. Also, the entire structure needs to be updated - again not really matching the price.

Positive: Swimming pool (had to pay extra 5 EUR per person) with refreshments stand. In the afternoon there was animation programme for kids and music for adults. Great location - just off the main road.

Negative: Breakfast was basic - poor choice (basically only croissants and some other sweets),no salty option. The coffee machine had the worst coffee ever. Moreover,hot drinks you could only drink from plastic cups (I even asked for ceramic cup but was told they did not have which is not true). The hotel, however, has a bar where you can pay for a decent cappuccino or espresso. No soundproofing in the rooms - you could hear every step in the hallway.

Positive: Location was absolutely stunning and the local people and staff were very very friendly. The hotel pool and garden area is beautiful with lovely views of the mountains. Staff in the hotel were very helpful and welcoming. Rooms were spacious and clean.

Negative: Some areas of the hotel were a little dated and breakfast wasn't as good as other hotels.

Positive: The hotel is in a great location and is a reasonable option for exploring the area. My friends and I were on a cycling trip and were able to enjoy the warm rooms and hot water after a cold descent on our bikes. The manager, Giuseppe, was very accommodating and made our one night stay very pleasant.

Negative: The beds, linen and towels are not great quality considering the price of the hotel. Unfortunately the exterior lights at night meant we had to sleep with the shutters closed which meant the room was overly warm. We should have asked Giuseppe to turn them off (which he said he could do). Compared with other hotels we have stayed in this was not great value.

Summary: Lovely location but expensive.
