Our house at the edge of the city St Vith is the venue for a romantic stay: in the middle of spruces and directly next two large fish-ponds, a rustic restaurant, embraced with wood and of course a fire place. Positive: Great location Spacious acceptable rooms with comfortable beds Off road car parking Country location but near the centre of town Variety of fresh food for breakfast options. Good quality coffee

Negative: Unfortunately there were a number of misunderstandings between the owner and us about evening meal in the restaurant. Sufficient to say that there was, at the very least, a language barrier that led to us waiting for two hours after our placing our order for our evening meal. The view of management was that they had accommodated us without a reservation while we felt that it would have been much more helpful if management had told us there was no chance of a meal in the restaurant on the evening we stayed. We could then have found a local restaurant in the town to eat at. It’s unfortunate that these misunderstandings led to an unsatisfactory experience as every thing else in our overnight stay was excellent

Positive: From the moment I walked through the door, it felt like I was in a Hallmark movie! It was simply beautiful!

Negative: Nothing! Absolutely nothing! It was beautiful and friendly and welcoming.

Summary: It was a GREAT place to stay. I will be back!!!

Positive: The breakfast was good. Loved the location. Dinner was excellent! Helpful staff. Room was large.

Negative: There was no elevator and we were on the third floor. Staff was helpful with our bags. Bathroom could use an update.

Summary: It was a unique property and staff was excellent. We would stay here again.

Positive: The location is superb, a building with character in the middle of a nice park with a lake. It was great to be able to sit and walk outside. The rooms are spacious. The staff was very friendly; during breakfast they did everything to make our breakfast enjoyable.

Negative: Rooms are nice but a bit outdated; but the hotel seems to work on it. What we did not like is that we have to wait almost one hour before getting our dessert at dinner time.
