Positive: We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Stari Dvor on the island of Ugljan. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, which made us feel comfortable right away. Our room was spotless, air-conditioned, and very well maintained. The hotel also offers free parking, which was a great convenience. Its strategic location, just a short walk from the beach, was a huge advantage and added greatly to our relaxing holiday experience. Breakfast was served buffet-style and, although the selection remained consistent each day, it was varied enough to easily create a different and satisfying combination every morning. Dinner, on the other hand, was simply outstanding – a true symphony of flavors, prepared with precision and creativity. The presentation was beautiful, and every dish delighted both the eyes and the taste buds. I would gladly return to this hotel again, and I wholeheartedly give it the highest possible rating.

Positive: Small, brand new hotel with a nice pool and great kitchen in a very quiet location, just 2 minutes to the beach. Very friendly staff.

Negative: Breakfast very simple, limited choice- if you stay longer it may be boring a bit. Every day only one type of eggs ( scrambled eggs)

Positive: Me and my wife have been enjoying a week with half-board at the newly renovated Stari Dvor hotel. It's a small hotel with only ~20 rooms. Everything has been clean and the rooms are minimalistically decorated (nordic-style?). They provide soap and shower gel so bring conditioner if needed.The beds were excellent and we slept well with the quiet AC cooling the room. The staff has been very friendly and helpful during our visit. We can see that they struggle a bit with only 6(?) people managing the whole facility. They seem to cope well though! The peak of our stay was the food! The young chef Tilen prepared a fantastic 3-course food experience every evening. He isn't shy of experiment with ingridients, textures and flavors in a really tasteful and fun way. I would really recommend the halv board as there are few restaurant in the vincinity of the hotel and you would'nt want to miss out on good food we've had. The only thing we missed on the breakfirst buffet was some yoghurt. It's basic but good enough for us. During our stay (no car) we took hikes to nearby towns. The island is surprisingly green even during peak heat in the summer. Plan your luches as the restaurants are few and sparse in the west/north of the hotel.
