Positive: I had a pleasant stay at this hotel in Gdańsk. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was also large and very nice. I especially liked the toilet, as it could also be used as a bidet, which was very convenient. The entire hotel was very clean. If you needed fresh towels, bed linens, toilet paper, or any other essentials, it was never a problem because there was a cabinet outside the rooms that was always stocked with everything guests might need. Overall, I had a comfortable stay and would recommend this hotel to others.
Negative: As a Black woman, I often felt that people were staring at me, which made me feel uncomfortable, as if I didn't belong. Unfortunately, I also did not have a positive experience with the restaurant staff. I was left with the impression that I was treated differently. For example, they offered my partner a drink but never asked me if I would like something to drink. They took my partner's order but did not ask for mine, even though it was clear that we were dining together. It seemed they assumed we would share one meal, but that does not explain why they didn't ask me if I wanted a drink, since two people cannot share one glass. I cannot say for certain what the reason was, but the way I was treated made me feel unwelcome and gave me the impression that discrimination may have played a role. It was a disappointing experience and something I hope the hotel and restaurant will reflect on.
