Positive: The hotel was in a great location, close to everything but not right in the middle of it all. The room was beautiful, the staff were helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to ensure guests were comfortable and assisted in any way they could. Even offering shuttle rides to any attraction that was further away than a 15 min walk. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will be back.

Negative: Kusatsu is in the mountains and so there is a lot of walking up and down stairs and hills. It's not that this was a problem, it's just something to be aware of.

Summary: Best kusatsu stay ever!

Positive: Staff was very welcoming, and I liked doing the check in procedure comfortably seated and eating a sweet bean jelly. 💗 The food was reeeally good also. Breakfast and dinner had generous portion sizes and everything was very delicious.

Negative: Almost all facilities are quite tired and probably need a bit of refreshment. Windows in the japanese corner were very dusty and the hot spring (the indoor part) didn’t look clean also.

Summary: Good value for money, really close to both the park and the city center. Great food, very pleasant staff.
