Negative: The pillows were flat and gave me a sore neck. The shower ran cold and hot every ten seconds.

Summary: Lovely staff and decent breakfast. Would definitely stay again as the location was perfect.

Positive: We loved everything about Hotel Seggio. It is family run and you can tell how much they care. Nothing was too much trouble, The hotel was spotlessly clean, the room was very up together, and the staff were outstanding. The location is also fantastic with beautiful sea views and a very quiet and private beach club. You would never know you were in a busy town. We loved it and will definitely return.

Negative: That we couldn't stay longer :-)

Positive: Wonderful hotel in the heart of the old town in Viesta. What could be better than a private beach and pool, beautiful views from the rooms, a beautiful old and well-maintained building, and helpful and attentive staff.

Positive: Lovely Hotel in the heart of the Old Town. Loved the pool, private beach and banana lounges. Made it a very relaxing stay.

Negative: Quite tricky to drive yourself there but once you knew where to go, staff met us at the parking garage and helped with our bags to the Hotel.

Positive: So pleased we stayed here - the location could not be beaten, the pool area and private beach are fabulous, and the clean, gentle, shallow sea here was warm and lovely. Our room with sea view and small balcony over the pool had a wonderful view out to sea. All the staff were delightful - welcoming and very friendly. Breakfast was also really excellent, especially sitting on the balcony area looking over the pretty piazza below. The bedroom was spacious enough, and very clean. We were very sorry to leave! It was very quiet in September, and worth noting that the pool is closed from 1 October.

Negative: It was a shame that we couldn't have a kettle in the room, and the bar area is rather tired.

Positive: We LOVED our stay at Hotel Seggio!!! Run by the sweetest family and located in the most perfect location in town. We spent our days on the private beach which was incredibly beautiful and never got too crowded. The beach also has a snack bar with delicious food which we ate every day. The room was no frills but sizeable and had a beautiful balcony overlooking the sea. The breakfast in the morning was also exceptional. The hotel is perfectly located and you can walk anywhere in town. One thing we were not prepared for though was the fact that you can’t drive a car directly up to the hotel. If you are planning on driving, I definitely recommend checking in with the hotel ahead of time so they can direct you to their off-site parking lot. The staff kindly helped us with our belongings once we arrived there. I could not recommend this place more for a peaceful Puglia vacation that is affordable but feels luxurious. We hope to be back again soon!

Positive: We absolutely enjoyed our five nights at the Hotel Seggio. As pointed out by many the location is unique : right in the town centre amongst restaurants and shops but with the privilege of having a private beach and pool to relax avoiding the crowd . For only 10 euro a day you can park the car at 5 mins from the hotel which we found much cheaper than other hotels and closer to us. Rooms are very clean ( towels were changed daily ) with comfortable beds. Despite the dark sand, Vieste has one of the clearest and cleanest sea water and it shows. The highlights of our days was the lunch at the pool : super fresh bread of focaccia from the local bakery ( I’m a baker myself!) filled with fresh vegetables or cured meats and stracciatella. Please don’t miss the ‘crema caffè’ for a real after lunch treat. Breakfast is excellent with a variety of cereal, breads, yogurt and fresh fruit. We loved the fruits being whole and not chopped in advance , peaches were to die for . Don’t miss the ‘Puglia corner’ with freshly baked focaccia with tomatoes, olive oil from a local farm I visited myself , tarallini and cartellate. Every afternoon, Through the staircase of the hotel you can smell freshly baked cakes ready to be added to the breakfast table the day after. The staff is attentive , flexible and helpful , it’s very evident that Michelangelo, Loreta, Deborah and Vincenzo have been in the hospitality sector for generations. Next year, we will definitely re-book the boat trip. The Gargano coast is marvellous from the sea
