Summary: The Sarakawa Hotel is the grand old lady of Lomé, she is well equipped and although she is beginning to show her age on the outside still offers a true yesteryear experience. Built on a 25 hectare piece of land next to the ocean you can’t ask for more. Olympic size swimming pool with adjacent bar and restaurant you can’t help but feel unencumbered by all the space available, so that even when the occupancy numbers are high, you still feel like you’re the only one there.

Summary: Clean room. It had clearly been updated recently but there were a few things that hadn’t been updated that really stand out compared to what is new such as the dirty scratched doors and old hair dryer. The customer service however was very poor. The booklet in the room said we could ask for an outlet converter/adapter so we called to ask and they said they didn’t have anything like that and it was a stupid question. So our phones died and we were unable to communicate during the rest of our time in Togo because they did not fulfill what they offered. They also charged a tax per person once you get there that was unexpected.
