Positive: I returned to Hotel Šachtička after almost a year and spent two nights here with my dog. The location is fantastic – peaceful, surrounded by beautiful nature and perfect for hiking and outdoor activities. The highlight is definitely the excellent food, both at the hotel restaurant and Koliba. Prices are slightly higher, but the quality matches them. The hotel itself feels dated, especially the corridors and some facilities, but the rooms are clean and have everything you need. I was only disappointed that the advertised gym was not available. Not a luxury hotel, but a great place for nature, hiking, good food and a stay with your dog. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely return.

Positive: Nice place with retro feeling and very friendly reception lady.
Negative: Check-out is at 10:00, but the cleaning ladies knock at the door loudly and annoyingly at 9:30. It's aweful. It makes you feel unwelcome and it's a real invasion of privacy. Those women have zero consideration for paying guests, all they care about is that you vacate the room asap so that they can get the clean and go home. Aweful

Positive: Easy-going, helpful staff, flexibility in the use of wellness, great breakfast, possibility of skiing and borowing sledges, Konoba on-site with nice, fast service and great traditional food and beer. Very good value for money.
Negative: The style is a bit outdated including too many poor stuffed animals as hunters' trophies. However, the hotel is quite well-maintained.
Summary: Very positive experience - great place to rest after skiing
