Summary: The parking filled up on the side are room was on. There was mold in the shower. There was a strong unpleasant smell in the drawers. The toilet was loose and sounded as if it came off from the wall when you started to get up from it. The walls didn’t insulate the outside noise. However the room temp was comfortable and so was the bed. The bedroom was very clean and the staff we interacted with were nice and helpful.

Summary: We arrived on a Sunday from a 12 hr drive. So we were tired. We arrived and there's a dj playing loud music outside by the lobby. I asked the lady in reception how long is the music going to be playing she said 8 pm I was annoyed. Then there is a sliding door for the bathroom, odd. With a Crack. Not privacy. The smell in the room is what did it 4 me, cigarettes. I told the lady were checking out tomorrow Nice bed though

Summary: Quiet, comfortable room, but no chair or desk or table. No place to get some work done or to have a bite to eat. First hotel I've been in that didn't have a table and chair, even though there was enough room for both. The other thing is, there were two pubic hairs on the edge of the bath tub. Overall, the tub looked clean, but those two hairs missed by the cleaning staff left a bad impression.

Summary: The Royal Oak Motel is a remodeled roadside motel with a retro vibe. Our signature standard room had a king-sized bed, microwave, refrigerator and a kitchen sink and counter with two barstools: there were two patios with fire pits and games. Also a pool table room and entertainment room. Room service. Staff at desk and small bar were great. Within walking distance to downtown area with much to do. One of my favorite places I have stayed.

Summary: The room was nicely sized with unique decor and the staff were excellent. Only thing wrong with our stay was the weather

Summary: Really nice area and very nice staff, had lots to do! Definitely will be coming back next time I’m in the Detroit area

Summary: This is a cute hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly during our visit. The issues are owner and maintenance related. Nothing major, but enough little things that add up. The towels were thin and cheap, the pillows were flat, and the a/c was loud and didn’t really work.

Summary: It is what seems to have been a motel that was renovated and given a facelift to make it fit the current trendy Royal Oak vibe. Room was clean and had everything we needed. They had some nice stuff for someone who is hanging out with friends like outdoor games on the patio and a pool table. Multiple places to get food or coffee were within walking distance. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, great experience!

Summary: The staff were amazingly kind and helpful. They made the space feel warm, cozy, and welcoming. The drinks were great, the lounges were lovely, and overall just a wonderful visit. It made me feel very safe and secure traveling alone. Highly recommend!

Summary: We had a wonderful time. There were plenty of things to do on the hotel grounds and within walking distance. Room was clean and comfortable.
