Summary: The property is beautiful and in a perfect location next to all the sites you want to see. The pool area is gorgeous, with beautiful Yucatanian hammocks. However, the rooms are dated and in need of renovation. The amenities simply do not exist. For example, no coffee in the room and no big pot of coffee in the lobbly. No refrigerator either, which would have been nice. Worst of all, the staff was extremely uptight and unhelpful. To the point of being really mean and interfering with our fun. The pool closes at 8 pm which is ridiculous, and we were scolded for being in there after 8, even though we were extremely quiet and considerate of other guests. They took a big deposit for amenities at checkin and were extremely rude and accusatory when we checked out, acting as if we were trying to skip out on paying for a breakfast--which was terrible by the way. Don't eat at the hotel.
