Positive: This was our favourite hotel in the month we spent in Mexico. The hotel is clean, beautiful with the most wonderful staff - Fernanda on reception was exceptional! The location is great with parking outside and within a few minutes walk of the square. The hotel grounds are beautiful with two good sized pools and plenty of outside space to relax. It is definitely worth the extra money for a suit. These rooms are in a sperate area of the hotel with their own lovely pool and separate plunge pool. They are beautifully appointed with great showers. The rooms on the road have a view of the convent but can be noisy - the courtyard rooms don't have the view but are quiet! Breakfast was excellent value and really good - again one of our best experiences of our travels.

Negative: We loved everything. A fridge or kettle in the room would have been nice.

Summary: A wonderful hotel and excellent value - highly recommended

Positive: Izamal is an historic city. It is poy to walk everywhere including the Mayan ruin. It even has horse drawn carriages. The inside of the hotel is modern and seems to have been recently updated.

Negative: It is a lovely comfortable hotel in an historic place.

Positive: The hotel is a short walk to the town market and both central squares and it is also a short walk to both bus stations. The room was large, clean and well air-conditioned. Staff are good.

Negative: I thought I had reserved a room facing the Convent, but looked out on the pool and rear pyramid, instead--in the end not a problem. The bathroom was extremely small and there was no chair or table--only a small dressing table with a low stool, which was not convenient for two people in the room. Water in the shower was either all hot or all cold, depending, apparently, on time of day.

Positive: This is a great hotel & fantastic value for money. The bed and bedding were so comfortable. The shower was hot with good pressure, the wifi was reasonable & the fan was quiet (we didn’t need aircon). Daily housekeeping, drinking water & glasses provided. Large clean room. Swimming pool area is lovely. Pool towels & comfortable lounges with cushions. Great central location. Perfect for us as 2 mins from the bus station.

Negative: There was nothing I didn’t like. Ask for a room away from the road. Would suggest getting a water cooler for reception to save on plastic bottles.

Positive: Great and charming hotel. The location is fantastic right behind the convent. There is a rooftop with tables, accessible to all guests with a great view of the. It was great to be able to chill at the terrace at night while enjoying the lights at the convent. The pool area is cozy and well taken care of, the bar wasn't working probably due to the low season but I imagine in the high season having the pool bar must be a plus. The rooms were clean, very well maintained and decorated. Amenities were provided. The staff was helpful and nice. I would definitely come back to this place.

Negative: The booking price included breakfast, but we were told it was only breakfast for one day at the hotel, even though we reserved for two nights. Typically, breakfast is included for the same number of days of the reservation.

Summary: Unbeatable Location, charming hotel. The pool is a bonus

Positive: The hotel is pretty and is on a nice location in the center of Izamal, and the bed and shower were fine. It is important to know that most of the restaurants (and especially the nice ones like Kinich) close in the late afternoon, around 6PM. Restaurante Los Arcos was still open in the night and is a nice place to get good food! :)

Negative: The breakfast included (continental) is just a few slices of bread, a coffee and a juice. We had some problems in the bathroom because at some point there was no water, but it was fixed quickly. The air conditioner was unfortunately making a lot of noise and not easy to turn on/off, so in the night we had some struggles with that. If I come to Izamal again, I would choose a different hotel for these reasons, but it was not a bad hotel at all!

Summary: Nice location but not so comfortable
