Positive: The accommodation is beautiful and very clean and well looked after. It’s spacious and you feel like you are in a mystical place

Negative: It’s not really a wellness or spa facility. There is no additional offers like Pilates or yoga (even though it’s stated on the website). You have to wear a swimming cap in the pool which is annoying giving that the pool seems very highly treated with pool chemicals. The kitchen is not very well equipped - no kettle or toaster. It would have been nice to get the towels and bed sheets changed once whilst we stayed there (1 week). There is no air conditioning in the place which can be challenging in peak season.

Positive: The garden, outside seating restaurant, evening activities for kids and proximity to a supermarket.

Negative: Car park was under a nest of birds and I had to remove droppings every day. Nearby beach had not nice sand/ pebbles/seawater albeit well organised and cheap to rent from umbrella and deckchairs. Sofa bed mattress was uncomfortable/worn out.

Summary: Nice experience but you need to drive to get to nice beaches.

Positive: The bar and the restaurant is great. Good value for money .

Negative: There was no A/C, just a poor fan. It was extremely hot in the room during the night. We travelled with 2 kids and a small dog. The apartment was very tiny, the kids were sleeping in the kitchen on a sofabed which was not prepared (bedded) for them when we arrived late in the evening. The apartment was also dirty, not properly cleaned. We found used tissues below the sofabed. We have to pay extra for everything, eg 30 eur p/p for a week for the use of the outdoor swimming pool which could only be used when wearing swimming caps which is a stupid rule. The staff was not friendly at all. There was no wine glasses, neither hairdryer in the apartment. Both are elementary for us.

Summary: Elba Island is beautiful, but I don’t recommend this place for family holiday.

Positive: Everything, especially the fact that we were all together in the same “village”. We used as a base for 90% of our wedding invitees.

Negative: Many steps, if you are booking for somebody elderly better to use the hotel or a ground floor apartment :)

Positive: The pool was big. The area was green and full of flowers. Grounds well kept.

Negative: Sad apartment. Really just the basics. Quite old. Garage was too small for my car so I had to park outside. The area is nice with nice little beach and beautiful views but all the restaurants in Bagnaia are quite bad unfortunately. To eat well you have to cook yourself or drive quite a bit.

Summary: Quite basic and nothing special.
