Positive: Salvatore - or 'Sandy' and his father were gracious, professional and generous with their time and knowledge. The thermal heated indoor pool with hydro-massage was appreciated. Every question we asked was answered to our satisfaction, along with recommendations for great dining in Sant'Angelo. You could not ask for a more hospitable stay in a well-situated spot overlooking the sea. If you are looking for a simple comfortable stay in a friendly environment, you cannot do any better than Hotel Residence Sant'Angelo.

Negative: Nothing!

Positive: I loved the breakfast and the staff was so amazingly helpful and kind! The view at breakfast was breathtaking. Location was great and very easy to get to Sant Angelo with all the shops and restaurants.

Negative: I thought room smelled like mildew a little bit. I think the room could’ve been cleaner- some renovations/updates would be helpful too! I also recommend getting new white bedding to give it a clean look.

Summary: Breakfast, the view, location and staff were 10/10!

Positive: A great family run hotel that oozes traditional Italian charm. Tasty breakfasts with Giuseppe's home-grown tomatoes and a 10/10 view. Super short distance to the local beach (which was my favourite) with a beach restaurant and sand. The room is basic but clean. The bus stop is right outside which makes it easy to get around. Sanny suggested and booked us a few restaurants which were excellent. He also suggested and booked us a boat tour around the island which was fabulous - highly recommended.

Negative: The pool is thermal water so the kids couldn't swim in it. I did swim in it, and it was great. The sea is lovely though so the kids weren't too disappointed.

Positive: Location is unreal. Cannot be beaten. Stunning scenery. Excellent breakfast. Perhaps the best hosts I have ever had. Value for money is top notch - again, I do not see how it could be beaten.

Negative: I don’t like that so many people know about it and want to stay there, because I want to go back and have the whole property to myself lol

Positive: Position Optimal in a way. A few hundred meters from the very nice town of Sant' Angelo. However, it is quiet here, the rooms at the front of the hotel have a beautiful view of the bay There is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel, and there is also a parking lot nearby. Hotel By local standards it is rather a better hotel. I already mentioned the very convenient location, the hotel is clean, the equipment is quite decent. In the room we had a large modern TV, plenty of storage space, a fridge, even a small kitchen. The two hotel swimming pools are absolutely brilliant. The outside, where you can also swim, is on a large, comfortable terrace. This pool has pleasantly warm thermal mineral water. The indoor pool is so perfect for relax that we even canceled a visit to the thermal baths because of it. Why to pay for a spa when we have it for free here? The pool also has thermal mineral water. On request, you can turn on the supply of thermal water, which has a good 90°C. The pool is thus perfectly heated in 20 minutes. Then just turn on the hot tub and relax completely. Service Tony and his father Pepe took turns looking after us at the hotel. Both of them created an absolutely perfect atmosphere of a family hotel. Very willing, accommodating, communication in English without major problems. Anything we needed - we just had to mention it and they arranged everything willingly and quickly. In addition, we received recommendations for businesses (restaurants, spa) that are run by their acquaintances and where we have a 15% discount as guests of this hotel. The other staff also worked discreetly and reliably - after each of our returns it was cleaned, everything was replenished, there was never the slightest problem. Catering The hotel has a relatively large dining room. However, we arrived in the off-season, so we only had breakfast here. I don't know if there is a resttaurant here, at least in season. Breakfast is typical Italian home-made.

Summary: Great service and a very pleasant, homey atmosphere.
