Positive: The room was large and exceptionally clean. We loved the decor. The view from the window alloys to watch the locals going about their daily routine.

Negative: Initially I thought finding the way into the hotel strange but then felt like a local so I had no negatives about the property.

Summary: A brilliant visit to Berlin where Nollendorfplatz was the place to be and the Pension Michele was the icing on the cake.

Positive: The place exceeded my expectations. I booked the trip to Berlin a bit late, and it was difficult to find a place in reasonable prices. I am very please with my decision to stay at Hotel-Pension Michele, which offered a clean, well-spaced room, proximity to public transportation hubs and many good cafes, restaurants and pubs. Also, I appreciate the excellent Wi-Fi connection and the work desk which were useful and isn't obvious in many places!

Positive: The apartment was nice and it was cleaned dayly during our staying there. The host was very supportive and polite, gave as good recommendations about the city trips, transport and good cafes. The hotel is in a good beautiful region, cafes and shops are nearby.

Positive: Excellent position for anyone who wants to discover Berlin. About the room: clean, good beds (hard mattress but good for your healthy sleep), comfy pillows, spacious bathroom with shower, well equiped. We had a bottle refrigerator, not cold enough for keeping food for - let's say - a breakfast. The premises: anything you want on an array of 500 m, restaurants, coffee shops, grocery store, and so on. Excellent schnitzel at Sissi, perfect pasta and pizza at Pizza Verdura, search on Google for any food you like, it's there within a short walk. On Wednesday and Saturday there is a very nice market right in front of the hotel, give it a try, you might find something nice to buy. The transportation: close to Nollendorf U-bahn station that takes you everywhere you want to visit. You can also take a Hop on hop off Tour if you don't like to walk much. The owner was very friendly and happy to help us with anything. We definitely recommend staying here.

Negative: A mini-fridge could be handy if you stay longer and want a cheaper breakfast, but that is just a suggestion.

Positive: The location is wonderful, both close to 3 U-bahns at Nollendorfplatz, and with hundreds of small cafes and restaurants on the streets around the hotel. It's local, away from the tourist crowds of Mitte, which I love. The building is dated, but every single item in the room was perfectly cared for and in good order. The curtains were clean and the blinds allowed no sunlight, the double glazing offered quiet from the busy street, and the bed very comfortable, all allowing a perfect night's sleep. I was on a business trip, and enjoyed a good working desk with plenty of sockets, good lighting, and constant wifi which only rarely had a weak signal. The shower wasn't big but squeaky clean and with a strong water stream. The weather in May was 22-26 degrees Celsius, and the ventilator offered was strong enough for these temperatures. Excellent value hotel with very personal and friendly attention to detail by the owner, Alex, who also speaks very good English. All his restaurant recommendations in the area were spot-on.

Negative: I stayed several nights, all were very quiet except Saturday night, on which some street party noise from the restaurant below filtered in until midnight. After that it was quiet. I can imagine that when the weather gets very hot, the excellent standing ventilator offered isn't enough. If you must have air-conditioning, you ought to consider a different option.
