Positive: I loved the first contact with the lady who greeted us and checked us in. I think her name was Alexandra. She is fantastic no matter how late or early she always has a smile went above and beyond turning on sauna for us, gave us such useful tips and information on where to go! I liked that it was close to the park, the view to the lovely river and beautiful nature and the fact they have a spa area. Breakfast was really nice! Bed was comfy, and at night it was quiet. The heating worked great as it was cold at nights so we just turned it on. The place and facilities were really clean despite being old the fact they kept things clean made it feel comfortable. Thank you!

Negative: It is a bit outdated in terms of the facilities, the carpet is worn out in places, you can see the areas around the bathroom with some damage and old blackness and calc. I feel like for the wear and tear the cost was too much for what it is. I mean the palace in Lousã is cheaper. It's also very child friendly which is great if you have kids but as a couple without kids it wasn't the relaxing spa forest experience we hoped 😅 kiddos running up the stairs on way to/from spa and at breakfast lots of noisy little ones. Also breakfast coffee ran out only had decaf lady had to go to the bar get coffee and the water of coffee machine always ran out both morning we were there. No sign nothing just you go up no coffee no water and then you had to ask. Scrambled eggs also ran out. Keep an eye on those things, make sure you're already working to replace when it starts going down and also plan for number of guests you have. Make some modern updates to rooms maybe get new or paint furniture, fix the walls and the balconies and then you'll have a better looking hotel :) it's worth it the space

Summary: Lovely stay, hotel just needs some tlc (tender love and care)
